Put me firmly in the 'cat is out of the bag' camp. I'll only be purchasing PC cards direct from Topps or ebay/TwinsJake in this set moving forward.
It’s hard to complain when the first 60 cards so many not involved

It will go up and slowly come back down

It’s hard to spend 100-500-1000 a week and wait a month for cards and maybe go up in value

This will be a roller coaster

Just picked up 2 Don C Franks just in case it ends up being the only gold card.

What happens when all the new money in cards now realizes the original first run of these limited time cards were the 2016 Topps Now set.. That #1 Liriano card will be $10k

Every time I think I'm done, I seem to find an eBay deal that seems too good to pass up.

DO NOT stress over price reductions on cards such as Griffey/Saladeen.

I admit I have been away from the hobby for a very long time but I'm also not foolish. I suspect that prices on that card in particular are directly correlated to secondary owners who bought high thinking they could make a quick buck. As they've noticed others selling lower than what they bought there's a panic and a race to the bottom to sell off in fear of losing their "investment". The Trout is a little different in that it is the signature card of the set and will likely hold demand. The Ichiro Baller is also different in that it likely didnt attract the casual fan. Over time, a combination of smart investors and collectors will begin to snatch up the low hanging fruit, flushing out supply. As Griffey's Baller, Ermsy, Jamieson etc.. begin to release, attention will flow back to the card and prices will rise again.

Just my theory.

Blake's presence in the community has been great, PR is only 2409. Plus its a great variation to the 84 Don swapping logos(pictures). This is one of my favorite cards in the set so far regardless of value.

This card will be close to $200 by Monday.

The Robinson is my favorite from Jamieson so far, but I like this one a lot too. Still deciding whether to collect his entire set or just hold a few for now.

no BIN for Baller Ichiro sorry if this has been mentioned. We might see our first $700 base card soon.

remember: The Mattingly Print Run STARTED at 2409

remember: Blake bought 200 of those 2409 and signed them all (and sold them all as well)

remember: The Mattingly Foundation bought an unknown (to me at least) number, and Donnie signed them all

remember: Blake is kind enough to sign this card for anyone that pays for shipping.

conclusion: there will be roughly 1,400 of these to go around in their original form

Don’t know if I should pull the trigger on the Gold card. It’s very polarizing. Having to pick and choose these things really sucks.

Same seller also graded two Ermsy Trouts. Like the Griffey, they both came back as 8.5s:

I'm not a skilled grader, but centering on the Ermsy Trout looks better than an 8 to me. 8.5 seems more fair bumping the card to a 9.

Haven’t seen many graded yet, but most of them have seemed kind of low. I think I’d be kind of pissed if I got my card back from grading and it only gets an 8.5. IMO, these have never been touched and should be pretty close to Mint if they’ve always been in a one-touch. I suppose you could break them open and inspect before you have it graded, but if you see something wrong then you’ve already broken the seal- seems like the best strategy for maintaining value is just to leave them in the original cases?

seems like a waste of money to grade these. I understand that certain collectors will like to have them graded in their collection but with grades ranging from 7 to 9.5 (Maybe Gem Out there) especially with BGS they wont look uniform. To each their own.

also when I say waste of money I mean for flipping purposes. Card sealed from Topps should carry higher value than anything 9 and lower.
