Patrick Mahomes Prices

One a side note, you might have seen on IG that I had to depart with these two. Everyone has a sob story, so I'll spare mine, but we needed some cash quickly and I probably could have tried to liquidate a lot of smaller stuff but knew I could move these quickly for a large chunk.

Unfortunately this means my dream of having the gold prizm run is over as I don't anticipate being able to purchase them back again (2018 is a ghost as it is), but I'm at peace. I still have 2017, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Was never able to secure 2023 and I'm having a heck of a time finding a 2024 (I'm assuming several are at grading)

Any reason you chose those two? I assume you're trying to hold on to the 2017 and these had more value than the others? Tough choice to have to make - at least you didn't have to sell the 2017.

Put it this way, if KC can’t beat the Texans on this amount of prep time, then they don’t deserve to move onto the AFC champ game..Bills and Ravens look very good for most of the season..hope the chiefs can show progress from the last two games and make it pass the conference. My gut tells me they will

Appreciate it! Yeah, there is a guy who is paying very very strong for all things gold/black prizm right now and he needed these two for his complete run, so I knew he would want them. I didn't exactly get to name my price, but I was fairly certain he would be the top offer and also offer quick payment without any hassle. We came to a fair number so I was good with it. I probably panicked a little bit and maybe should have listed them, but it's all good. And yeah, I really do want to hang on to the 2017 as long as I can, or until someone makes me an offer I can't refuse, which is probably close to 7 figures and I don't imagine that will happen anytime soon

Yeah, I personally don't think it will be any kind of blowout, but I also like our chances in KC with the weather being a factor (I'm assuming it will be cold).

The great news is that the Mahomes's had their baby and presumably mom and baby are doing well (since they announced it), so now they can hire 20 nannies and whatever else is needed for Mahomes to be completely locked in for the playoffs. His daughter's name is Golden Raye, so extra insensitive to get another gold ring in the year of her birth.

I’m a bit surprised there’s not much Big mahomes cards for auction this month leading up to SB..fanatics n goldin monthly auctions have a few but nothing special..knowing that prices tend to fall after SB regardless of outcome, I assume more people are content with holding long term ..

I have several new people a week asking me for prices on my early golds, black finite, and NT /99.

I see no reason to sell them. There's not another card I would buy in that price range, so unless a life need comes up, I'd just rather hold

Finally got this in today. Never thought I could find a serial-numbered color match Mahomes RC I could afford, let alone actually like. This one thankfully proved me wrong.

That's it. Everyone else, including Jaylen Watson, was a Full Participant.

Meanwhile, Shaq Mason is Out for Saturday, and his backup did not practice today and is Questionable. Al-Shaair also is Questionable.

Are they all theoretically the same price? The Silver 10. I'm just not a fan of stuff that's not gem.

The asking prices are different but not outrageous. Just wasn’t sure if the others especially the blue wave was worth a lower grade since it’s /149.

The Pink might actually be more rare than the Blue Wave. I'd bet they are pretty close in print run, just no serial # on the Pink.

Silver PSA 10, more so because the card looks better than pink, blue wave, green… I go for more of the esthetics…red prizm / red power over the camo /25

I tend to collect stuff that isn’t readily available so would rather get the pink or blue wave firstly before the silver.

Also, over 600 new silvers have been graded by psa in the past year. Sure, probably half are crosses or cracked and resubbed but the point is they are growing by the day.

My general Prizm philosophy is known scarcity (serial #) > estimated scarcity (unnumbered colors) > silvers. The reason boils down to what is more readily available and unlikely to pop up again.
