Union Station is a cool visit after dark, you get a cool view of all the buildings and the city will be painted red. There is a Jack Stack down there, one of best bbq’s in the city.

That's a volume stat. As far as rate of calls, Mahomes ranks second among QBs with at least 100 postseason dropbacks. The validity of the calls is another argument. This is just the math. He has 7 roughing calls in 109 QB hits, the next closest is Josh Allen with 2 roughings in 64 hits. He gets a roughing call once every 15 times he is hit

A few thoughts:

Volume stat is useless since no one else has played in the playoffs as much as KC since 2018.

Mahomes having the 2nd highest RTP rate makes sense to me. I don't think there's anything fishy about the QB of a team that is typically hosting the AFCC game getting hit illegally at a higher rate. The opponent is usually an underdog trying to find a way to gain an advantage and hitting the QB hard and illegal is a way to do that.

These games are also typically in KC and refs almost always favor the home team.

Mahomes told the media this week that he sometimes embellishes to get a call so I'm sure that helps too. All good QBs do this, Allen maybe the most.

If RTP directly correlated to winning, many teams would have finished the regular season with better records than the Chiefs since 2018 since they have been middle of the pack for calls that give an automatic first down. But it's clearly much more than that.

Mahomes regular season winning percentage (with middle of the road 1st down penalties) = 79%
Mahomes playoff winning percentage = 84%

But hey, if those stats are enough for you to think the league is rigged for KC only during the playoffs, that's fine too. Just don't forget that Allen has twice as many RTPs since 2018 in total yet his winning percentage is 68% so he's gotta learn to take advantage like Mahomes!

I wonder what the stats say about unnecessary roughness. I think someone like Allen would have a lot more unnecessary roughness calls that benefitted him just based on how often he runs and how he also baits defenders into late hits.
