Well, I like you Sleeper, and would greatly miss your humorous and sometimes slightly sarcastic comments!
I REALLY hope the Chiefs win tomorrow, not just because I like them and especially Mahomes so much, but also because I am no fan of the Bills...
I have lived less than an hour away from Buffalo my entire life, so I have always been surrounded by Bills fans, which hasn't been easy, especially since I was a Dolphins fan for many years.
If the Bills finally win the Super Bowl this year, the "Bills Mafia" are going to be unbearable!

Well, if one is going to completely ignore uneceassary roughness call made on hits to Mahomes, that's not terribly intellectually honest now is it?

Yes, Mahomes' helmet was lightly grazed.

Anyone that sees forcible contact to Mahomes on that play has a serious case of Tomahawk Fever and needs help. If anything, the only forcible contact was the 2 Texans' players helmets hitting each other.

Oh really? If you have some stats, please feel free to present them. But do keep in mind that the thesis is how much the Chiefs are helped during the playoffs so regular season stats are quite worthless.

I am not the one who is triggered here. It is the Mahomes fans getting awfully defensive and throwing out the personal attacks. That aside...

The discussion is that the Chiefs - especially Mahomes - get a disproportionate amount of calls their way in the playoffs. To talk about RTP and ignore unnecessary roughness calls made on hits to Mahomes is absolutely a dishonest response. I don't blame you for trying to cherry pick stats though since the big picture hurts your argument even more.

It'll be sorted out on the field tomorrow, guys.
Armchair QBs like me will have no bearing on the game.
Josh Allen is pretty dang good... Mahomes (and Reid) is generational talent.

Enjoy the game.

Reffing is not perfect in any pro sport. What's done is done.
Can't blame any team or guy for playing the game as the rules are set up and enforced at any given time.
That's simply called being smart.
The whining and complaining like some Texans did probably only hurts them going forward.
Likewise, KC has been dinged for complaining about lack of PIs in 2023 season when their WRs were mugged on a few also.

Well, the problem that some people in here deny even exists is starting to get a lot of momentum for a rules change.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-replay-assist

For all those complaining that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes gets too many calls, relief soon could be on the way.

NFL replay assist is expected to expand this offseason into plays that could include the quarterback slide, league sources told ESPN on Saturday.

I have no issue with what the league wants to do. The only hope I would have is that it doesn’t slow the game down too much.

Unfortunately it won’t stop the complaining about judgement calls as those will always be there to some degree.

You clearly misread or didn't read pejc's post and I was just clarifying that he was only talking about RTP while you added in UR. It's ok to make mistakes, no need to think I'm making an intellectually dishonest point (which, if we actually included UR in these discussions it looks way worse for Allen lol).

Not sure which play you're talking about... I was talking about the RTP because that was the focus of the post I was replying to. Anderson hit Mahomes in the helmet while trying to sack him. Pretty clear why the ref threw the flag there.

I agree with you on the UR call. At some point the QBs have to not get extra protection while they're running since they are running so much more now. This isn't a Mahomes-specific issue. It's a QB issue. Allen baits defenders into hitting him late while running way more than Mahomes. Buffalo was #2 beneficiary while KC was #29 this entire season.

Allen has 5 URs over the past 3 playoffs (including this season); Mahomes has had 4 (including this season). Keep in mind KC has played 7 games to Buffalo's 6 during that time because they keep making the Super Bowl. Someone with more time can go back to 2018 if they want, I did this manually and don't really want to spend any more time on it.

Good! That will actually help KC since Allen is the worst offender of the bait slide. Also good that the league will hopefully negate/prevent some of these calls.

'Twas the night before kickoff, and all through KC,
The Kingdom prepared for the Bills rivalry.
The memories lingered, still fresh in their brain,
Of that 13 seconds—a legendary game.

But amidst all the joy, one voice did stand out,
A Bills fan named Delta, with a boisterous shout:
“Mahomes is overrated! The refs make it clear,
They hand him the game every single year!”

With the score tied tight, the clock winding low,
Chiefs fans could feel it—the Mahomes magic show.
“Here come the refs!” Delta shouted with spite,
“Just wait for the call to hand them the fight!”

The scoreboard was tied as the game reached its end,
Would it be Mahomes or Allen who’d ascend?
The clock ticked down—only seconds to spare,
When Butker stepped up, his face calm and rare.

The kick sailed through, the Chiefs fans did cheer,
As Delta groaned loudly, “We’ll get you next year!”
“Good game!” said Mahomes with a smile so wide,
While Allen and Reid gave a nod and some pride.

As the Kingdom celebrated their AFC win,
The Bills packed up, but vowed to try again.
So here’s to the football, the rivalry ignites,
Happy Chiefsmas to all, and to all a good night!

I just got back from an 8 hour round trip to pick up a Mahomes card I'd been working on a getting a trade done for over a week. You know it's a banger if I was willing to put in that much effort. I'll post it tomorrow, er today now I guess, if the Chiefs win, if they lose I guess you'll have to wait until next year to see it.

Default Patrick Mahomes Prices

Recently finished this collection — a card of every Super Bowl LIV starter (and Kendall Fuller due to his game-sealing interception.) I tried to get autographed cards when available (some players didn't have autos in a Chiefs uniform).

Working on the same for Super Bowl LVII, LVIII and hopefully LIX.

Go Chiefs!

Oh, I have repeatedly called Allen the king of the castle in regards to not just drawing bad penalties, but his propensity to flop. He should be playing soccer. There's a hilarious YouTube video showing all of Allen's flops and what is even more hilarious is how often they have to update that video.

Almost time to watch the NFL consolation game prior to tonight's Super Bowl. Good luck this evening!

Yep! His flopping is at Harden level while Mahomes is more like Jokic. One makes something out of nothing while the other embellishes an already questionable call. That's why it's literally crazy for Allen fans to come in here and argue about KC calls. Allen has gotten more and tries even harder to get them lol.

Feels like Allen is Jokic. He sees how Lebron flops to get calls so he mimics his style. Pretty smart
