Nowhere does it say this is an on demand order in 2022

Of course when you take it out of context. They were previously on demand products, when you could order as many as you want!

Thank you!!! Thats point of how stupid this release is. They are not on Demand in 2022! They have been in the past and no one wanted them.

They printed however many were ordered! All of the parallels were serial numbered those years as well.

For example in 2018 only 5000 packs sold, so half of the pink parallels have never shown up.
No they didn't. There was a finite amount every year.

I am out on this one. My rational, cheap side cannot make sense of paying $28 for shipping six small boxes. It is probably for the best since the odds of pulling any of the rookies is rather slim with a 990 card checklist. Good luck to those who do purchase and rip.

Yes, they were on demand. NO, you could not order as many as you want. I was purchasing them in 2020 when they went out of stock well before the timer expired. You can stand your ground all you want, but you are wrong.

You could order as many as you wanted UNTIL THEY SOLD OUT.

They did not cap them per user, but they were not print on-demand. That's the difference.

Per CC: "Boxes sell for $24.99 and include 35 random cards. Like in 2018, the boxes are available direct from Topps' online store for an extended period of around one month, but only as supplies last.

UPDATE: After being available for a few hours, the product was listed as "sold out" on the Topps site."

Not true.

Look through the history from 2017-2020

in 2017 there was 9899 packs sold
in 2018 there was 5000 packs sold
in 2019 there was 9700 packs sold
in 2020 there was 13401 packs

The set up of the packs has been similar since 2017
3 parallels plus the 1987,1983,1984, and 1985 cards with a parallel out of 25 except for 2018 where it was out of /10

Do you think they just skipped half the pink and half the blue parallels in 2018? No, they didnt sell enough in 2018 to include all the parallels thus half the pink (/25) and half the blue parallels (/10) were not created

You could buy those packs for 30 days from when they went live in 2017, 2018, and 2019 and you could buy as many as you wanted as they never sold out. They may have sold out in 2020 but it was still on Demand and you could order as many as you wanted as they didnt sell out for days.

I'm not going to keep arguing, because its pointless, and you are wrong. But I will leave you with this. Topps doesn't create an equal amount of products every year. Print runs change. I have bought it every year and I know for a fact it isn't print to order. Simple as that.

Just take a breath and go look at any information available online. There has been a set amount printed for minis since 2018.

Read that statement again and think about it. How could 2020 be "On Demand" and how could they print as much as they want if it sold out before the timer ran out. It obviously wasn't print to order. There was a finite amount, hence why it sold out before the timer ran out. Both can't be true

I would bet that previous years if it didn't sell out during the offering they likely just unloaded to distributors at a reduced price. If you think Topps is waiting until the timer runs out before they start producing this product then.....well........I don't think there's any rationalizing with you.

They were definitely not on-demand in 2020 as I dragged my feet on buying them and they ended up selling out well before the timer expired, so I got shut out. That is not an on-demand product.

Since orders ship in 10-15 business days, Topps has already printed everything and it is boxed up ready to go. On Demand products normally take at least 2-3 months to ship.

I believe you are right about 2018. Interesting year with all of the RCs that year. But the sets ran out of time and were pulled with about half the expected print run. So sold out but was probably supposed to have about a 10,000 PR.
That is why several parallels were cut (destroyed I guess) from the sets.

Sets were available on 11/01/18 and I had several purchases on 11/23 before the timer went out. I think I was taking advantage of the special Black Friday/Cyber Monday cards they had for purchases over $20 dollers (think it was Acuna/Soto/Torres/Trout/Ohtani). Yep, classic set builders product. Maybe will hit BO in a few weeks and we can get a quantity. But at $31 shipped for 6 boxes I’ll pass.

I'll chime in and say that 2012 and 2013 were not On-Demand. I'm pretty sure anything packaged in foil wrap isn't On-Demand. Is the Mini release being confused with something else? Is the term "On-Demand" being confused?

Well just because Topps states on-demand does not necessarily mean on-demand (minis, 3Ds, etc.)

2012-2014 was a different product, I opened a lot of that. They were 24 pack boxes with parallels and either an auto or jersey in every box.

As I remember, autos were very difficult hits. Like hitting autos out of Opening Day.

Yeah, I think 2012 they were a little easier, I remember pulling a Harper and a few others. By 2014 they were much tougher to hit if I'm remembering correctly.

Keep going back and forth on the Minis.

Is this a fun product to rip? The large checklist is concerning but the 3 included parallels and chase autos are nice.

I've only ever bought Minis (once or twice) to flip sealed.
