A few interesting names, just based off who's a free agent:

Robertson
Daniel Bard (Yankees actually drafted him out of HS in 03)
Michael Fulmer
Especially with the expanded playoff format, teams that would normally be sellers are now buyers. They have to hope a couple of teams on the fence drop out of the race quickly so they are open to deal.

Just looking around. A few other guys:

Raisel Iglesias (could be a cheap turnaround options)
Scott Barlow (to be included with Benintendi)
AJ Puk/Zach Jackson/Sam Moll from the A's
Gregory Soto
Steven Okert
Wil Crowe

I don't know how realistic it is, but man that dude Bautista was filthy tonight for Baltimore.

Another probably unrealistic one would be to hope the Giants keep losing and make a big offer for Doval.

For sure, but there's a lot of guys pitching well on bad teams. A's and Pirates have some really intriguing guys.

The White Sox should be sellers, but I don't know that they will be. Hendricks/Graveman/Lopez have all been really good.

That’s true Bautista would be awesome but the Orioles would have to be crazy to let him go. I do like a.j Puk and Robertson from the Cubs wouldn’t take much. As far as a starter I still think they have to go after Castillo because Ssverino may not come back strong and German even though it was his first start from rehab doesn’t look ready yet and Taillon we don’t know what we will get.

Robertson should be a lock to get moved. I really like Puk, too. I think the only reason he'd be off limits is if they plan to make him a starter again.

I just don't think getting Castillo AND an outfielder AND two good bullpen arms is realistic.

White Sox would be nice to deal with but they are too close to the Twins to give up on the division. Too bad Texas didn’t have any decent pitchers, it’s hard to find a team that has decent pitching that is far enough out of a playoff spot to be sellers.

Probably not I think the outfield and hitting will be okay but yes Castillo and 2 bullpen arms is probably out of the question don’t they have anybody in the minors that could give them some innings out of the bullpen.

I get the feeling they're down on Hicks. If that's the case, I'd say an outfield trade is a guarantee.

Carpenter hasn't showed he can play out there. And no matter how much the "they think Stanton is better and healthier when he plays the OF more" line gets said, they never actually back it up. They barely play him out there. I don't get the feeling they're comfortable with their current OF'ers.

The guys that are good hitters well when Stanton isn’t slumping and Carpenter aren’t good fielders then you have Gallo and Hicks who can field but really can’t hit Hicks has showed signs but I still wouldn’t trust him in a clutch situation., when the Yankees hit their high water mark of 38 games over who could foresee the problems they are having now.

Stanton has played 38 games in the OF, 36 at DH. Your claims are false

Yeah, that's uh.. not how you treat a player who you think is better off in the OF.

Does that count tonight? They love him so much in the OF that Locastro got the start.

Trade for soto, take on Corbin make him a bullpen arm. Most good relievers are failed starters anyway. Problem solved just sell more Jersey logo space next year.

And King officially done for the season, I feel awful for that kid more than our team. He had really found his spot in our pen and was having an absolutely fantastic season.

34 G, 51 IP, 66 K, 16 BB, 2.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 11.6 K/9, 166 ERA+

Sucks I hope he has a quick and complete recovery.

I know he sucks as a starter, but if the Nats really are insistent on moving Corbin with Soto, what about moving Corbin to the bullpen? I mean, he can't be worse than Chapman.

But is he better than Yordan in the outfield?

So Clarke Schmidt and Shane Greene were called up.

Poor Locastro was optioned to AAA. I liked him.

Supposedly, now we are serious contenders to get Benintendi.

This is why I love the National. It is electric when the trades get announced.

This might be my last year. Too expensive and I could spend a week photographing fire trucks around the country for a lot cheaper.

Yes that’s for sure I just want to go one last time to actually enjoy it with my wife.
