Only because purchase price was tied to Robinson being randomly inserted...

I mean, I don't think he false advertised or anything. It was pretty clear what was going to be in them on an average basis.

Had to do a double take on this one. Thought TBP jumped in the Delorean.

There appears to be no demand for them now that they're live. Unless that suddenly changes, these are going to be a tough sell even at MSRP...maybe even half that.

I'm trying to find a really creative angle to push these at the next Sneakercon. Weapons may be involved.

Rochester Gooden and ??? on Friday.

Don C Gibson - any predictions on what element?

Gibson's nickname was hoot. And he was on the Cardinals.

Maybe a feathers theme?

Some guessing it's basketball related since Gibby was a 2-sport athlete

If I'm guessing, a basketball pebbled leather as his material.

Ties with the theme of single element -- gold, iron, water, sand, sky/air

If you're right, I'll also go with a basketball theme.

Full cards are both in the FB group. Rochester asked the group not to share it. Not sure if people were supposed to share the Don C so I'll refrain from doing so. I will say I'm buying a Tupac from Wheeler tomorrow.

A solid pair. I'm picking up the Gooden.

I've resisted a lot of temptation this week and I think I'll press through and pass on Don C's Gibson. Pretty cool, though; I've enjoyed his recent offerings. Even felt a tinge of regret at not picking up his Mays.

I find myself using the Chris' artist image page on a daily basis to review how the overall sets are shaping up

https://www.crtsportscards.com/proje...-artist-images

My top 3:

1. Ermsy - undeniably fun and cohesive in style. Favorite card: Gibson
2. Matt Taylor - one of the sets I'm collecting, really connect with his use of color. Favorite card: Ripken
3. Gregory Siff - unique and unexpected perspective on each release. Favorite card: Ripken

Rising:
Naturel - more traditional interpretation but his style is incredible and very pleasing to they eye. Brett last week was so good. Favorite card: Jackie
Keith Shore - hated his cards at first but have come around. These interpretations just make me smile. Favorite card: Thomas

Falling
Mr. Cartoon - initially came into the Project intending to collect this set but just haven't felt the cohesion and or attraction to the art. Even still, everyone should check out LA Originals on Netflix. Favorite card: Clemente
Blake Jamieson - he was on a heater from Mattingly thru McGwire but haven't felt the same magic since. Favorite card: Henderson

Bottom 3:
18. Grotesk - bought his Ichiro last week but have been bored with most of the releases. Favorite card: Ichiro
19. Jacob Rochester - haven't felt compelled to own any of the cards. Favorite card: Mays
20. Andrew Thiele - too busy, feel his work would be better served as large prints. Favorite card: Trout
Glad that the site is helpful! Thank you for using it!

The key to me with Grotesk is the creature that holds the image up. I missed it for sometime but once I saw it, I was even more hooked on Grotesk. He went a different route with Ichiro but still the same.

I'm worried that the overall response will be rejection.

@TBP ... true, for the most part a lot of these cards... (if only they looked 'in hand' what they look like on the computer screen.

This set is strange in that a large portion of this set looks much better in hand. Thinking JK5, Siff, and Vides specifically. There are actually a lot of sets out there where that is the case.

But the strange part is that on the flip side, there is another large portion of this set where the cards photograph extremely well but look like sh*t in person. Thinking Don C and Baller specifically. For example, take a pic of the Don C Thomas, and the card will likely look glistening in the photo even in poor lighting. But take that same card and physically study it with your eyes, and it looks like it's coated in literal piss (at least it does to me).
