Yeah it’s tricky to compare raw to graded. The raw today was a crazy price but it was a nice card and the buyer is obviously paying as if it will gem. The 9 will forever be a 9 (and there’s nothing wrong with that!). That just shows the premium the market is paying for 10’s (or something someone thinks will gem).

Not crazy to think a trip to finals will top 5 figures

At this rate, his Select PSA 10 is severely undervalued.

Yeah I feel like that's the trend... his Prizm PSA 10 shoots up, then his Select PSA 10 creeps up to about half the Prizm. Not a bad card, especially because Optic didn't exist back then

So wild. I have 2 left, if they win and it hits 10k I’m probably cashing one out. And that would mean in 12 months it went from $500 to $10,000

If that happens... I'd have to cash in on something as well.

The thoughts have been in my head for a few weeks now.

If the base is $6700, what is the guess for the next Silver auction for PWCC or Probstein? $35-40k? This sounds crazy, but that would seem underpriced given everything is up crazy, and these are very rarely available.

Anyone know what the estimated print run is on the Giannis Select silver RC's?

Id say slightly less than Prizm...but I dont know.

PSA has graded 129 Prizm Prizms and 103 Select Prizms.

Like, I get that everything is a multiplier of this and that. But how many people are even able to spend that much money on a card? As much money as I spend on cards, I can’t imagine dropping that much on a Prizm. Once you hit 5 digits I’m out, there’s too much “real life” stuff I can do with that money

It's also a status card. It's the most iconic Prizm card ever produced...owning one would set your collection apart from someone else. That's why it will keep going up. All this new money coming in... once one is available... many will chase it. Those that miss will chase the next one even harder. It's like a piece of art from a popular artist. It's easier to acquire and doesn't take up a ton of space to own.

I have 10 Giannis Select RCs. I've never sent to PSA before, how much do you think it would cost me to send all 10? Also would send a select silver draft selections.

It's probably going to cost north of $1,000. I think it's about $100 to grade something $1000-$2499.... At the rate things are going... They might be out of that tier by the time they are done. If Prizm are going to continue to be $6500... Select will easily cross $2500 in the near future.

You might be out, but you do realize the ridiculous numbers cards are going for now. People just need to move a few Lebrons, Lukas, a few Trouts...and boom they are there. Not to mention all the wealthy coming into the hobby now. I totally get what you are saying, but now the money being spent is crazy. For the high end, I can’t even sniff auctions now like I used to. It’s pointless to try.

good lord that's a lot to spend on grading. Think it will be worth it? would 5 of them need to be 10s?

Pick your 5 best looking ones to send in, plus the silver draft picks, then sell one raw to cover the grading costs. Hold the remaining 4 raw for now.

Can’t remember exactly what I estimated, but I think it was in the 300 range. A little more than Prizm, but not by much. I own two, so I’m biased. But great card for the price. Last 9.5 got $4100. Last Prizm 9.5 got $21500. That’s an absurd gap. And even worse, the last Luka Prizm 9.5 got $3700.

Prizm brand is either that strong, or people are that stupid.

Last PSA 9 sold for $3,777 on July 16th, so BGS 9.5 might be more than $4,100 right now, however there are a few non true gem BGS 9.5s sitting on ebay for $7K.

The PSA 9 sale was good. I don’t think a min gem BGS sells for much more than a PSA 9 though. It’s just the way it is now. I’d love to see what a PSA 10 went for at auction. Last one sold BIN for $6k at the end of May.

10’s are going for around 2300 and probably headed north. Raw is going for $700. It’s easily worth it.

I’d probably submit at the $50 level and make them upcharge to $75. Just look them all over and only send in the ones you think have a good chance to gem.

Just selling one would cover the cost of grading the whole lot.
