Huh? Why? If they're set up at a show and have a card I want at the right price, then what's the difference?

![]() I’m thinking you’re a minor yourself, that’s OK.

Nope I'm an adult. What am I missing?
You're walking around at a show, there's a kid set up behind a table, there's a card you want/need on their table. You're not stopping?

I always thought there was some law that allows a minor to always get their money back if they purchased something and vice versa.

IANAL but my understanding is that minors lack the legal capacity to enter binding contracts in a lot of circumstances that could potentially cover sports cards.

You need a business license to set up at a show? Do most show organizers require that? (never set up, genuinely asking).

In my experience the kids do laps around the show trying to trade cards from one dealer to another. They're little trade sharks for the most part.

Went to the Orland Park show this past Sunday. It was my bday and my godson and his folks were in town to visit. It was my 9y/o godson's first card show and he had a lot of fun looking at Pokemon cards and visiting vendors. I didn't see my Frank Thomas guy this time but I picked up a small handful of cards for some good deals. I'll post them in the pickups thread. Show was well attended as always, as has been my experience. The report I got was that everyone was very friendly. My godson was even gifted a Joe Montana card, which was very nice of someone, although I don't know what his evolutions are or if he'd stand a chance against Charizard.

In California if you sell more than 3 times a year at a specific location "swap meet" then you need a resale license.
I am surprised for a lot of monthly/quartley shows they do not require it. For the Big Shows you would think the state's would require especially for convention venues. |

You should have business license and reseller license to setup at legit card shows. If you are a promoter and dont ask for those items from dealers you could get in big trouble with state that you are in. If you setup at show in x state you need to file a sales tax return for your sales in that state unless you get a resell certificate from buyer. Im shocked that more states that are broke dont crack down on these shows given how often they audit business for sales & use tax. There is so much unreported sales going on at a show that state dont get any part of that action. This is why ebay had to do this years ago and file sales taxes for all of your sales unless buyer provided ebay with reseller certificate. I wonder sometimes with all these big dealers that setup across the country if they actually file sales tax returns by state.

Chantilly and Philly dealer contracts mandate that you have a VA and PA tax certificates
Is it enforced? No idea |

nothing Brady centric. I saw some raw press pass rookies and some low grade skybox rookies. Nothing of note. I was looking for some basketball, but not having much luck ![]() |
