100% of my predictions from last week came true. So what can we expect next week? Per my records, I anticipate the following, based on length of time since their last spotting.

Artists:
  • Sophia Chang - 15 days
  • Blake - 14 days
  • JK5 - 14 days

Players:
  • Trout - 15 days
  • Mays - 14 days
  • Nolan - 10 days
  • Griffey - 10 days

I think for sure we'll see a trout card next week and drops from Chang and JK5. There's also a good chance of seeing a new Josh Vides card, IMO.

I'd be most excited about either a JK5 or Blake Griffey. I'm doing a player set of Nolan Ryan, so I would love a JK5 Nolan card.

The set is really starting to come together! Released cards in blue:

The chart got me thinking. I know we're a long way off, but any guesses for card #400? I think they'd want to go out with a bang. Maybe Beck's Trout? Happy Friday and Cheers, btw.

Picked up a great deal on a group of low PR Mariano Rivera cards. However I really have no interest in collecting Mo or the artists (although I do enjoy the Chang). Curious to see what y’all think.

Should I:
A) Sell them and put it toward an Ermsy Trout to complete a Trout set.
B) Sell/trade them for JK5 Williams & Fucci Williams to complete a Williams set for my PC.
C) Hold on to these because low PR and/or Oldmanalan will be king.
D) Stray further away from God

It is, isn't it?

I've only purchased seven P2020 cards since card #100; 4 Ermsy, 3 Chang. It's a lot easier on the wallet for sure.

Personally I’d go A.

If you prefer the Williams 20, he should have a lot more lower PRs at SRP in the remainder of the set, which is a nice upside of collecting his player set.

Not C.

D is inevitable.

While I emphasize with your sentiment, I’d prefer to flip it to someone who wants to pay several Benjamins for it.

It’s my first Oldmanalan card in hand, since my Ted Williams should arrive early next week. Now that I stare at it in person, it’s growing on me. The classic look. The simple font. It pleases my eyes like a warm vanilla cookie would please my mouth. Maybe I was wrong about Ol’ Manalan.

its a turkey red frame on the 1992 Bowman Picture

his cards are worthy of being in Topps' Archives Sets, not in P2020

I'd like to empathize that chocolate chip is the way.

Man, I have a hard time staying on topic.

C. At least keep the Oldmanalan and sell the others to buy other cards you want.

You are nothing if not consistent. I admire your willingness to stand by Oldmanalan’s work being the best in the set.

This is what I’ve been leaning toward. I would be personally fine if I ended up with 18 Williams cards and got the first two as prints whenever those come out.

But this may be my only chance to strike on an Ermsy Trout which I’m in the camp of believing will be the most desired card in the set long term.

I do think Oldmanalan is going to have a very interesting set. I think there’s a clear process with him even if what he does isn’t in the same league as the majority of the others (but I prefer him to Baller, but DonC to Alan)l for other artist I’d put in the category). I really think it’s going to be a neat set, but I’m far less emotionally invested in the original cards which allows a bit more leniency.

I wonder if I am the only one that actually collected these cards except for the Trout. I built all of these sets, most from busting packs. I thought all the flippers were gone. I guess I was wrong. I love baseball and baseball cards. I’m not into abstract art. I want to be able to look at the card and recognize who it is. Several of these artists don’t know how to draw a person.
