Ordered a card from them around the peak for $200.00. Just sent out shipping notice and refunded me $135.00. I never asked for a return nor contacted them regarding my purchase. Something I wasn't expecting but happy to receive. Figured I'd share about one of the good sellers in this hobby.

This silvershowers guy... yikes. Checked what he's sold recently... toilet paper, weights, hand sanitizer, and flip stuff like special edition Switches and Funkos. I will be so happy when these people are gone from Project 2020.

I advise you to block Ebay user michaechule-0. He returned a Tyson Beck Gooden card he won at auction after it dropped $600 in value. I do not take returns but he claimed the item was not as described.. This was his reasoning:

Case is chipped, box is torn, card appears to have surface scratches not disclosed.

Thankfully I received the card back in good shape and the box had no tears and the magnetic case had no chips. I did not see any undisclosed surface scratches either. He was refunded.


This is not the first rodeo for michaelchule-0 and suspicious Ebay returns here on Blowout. He returned graded cards from Jewcer and drstrader5 last fall:

It's crazy. I actually just got off the phone with Ebay hoping they would understand but they said I have to refund. He left positive feedback for me as well and that didn't matter at all. Ebay is a total joke.

Odd way of looking at it. Even people who didn’t get in super early made thousands and thousands of dollars off these cards. Credit to them for having the foresight.

Devil's advocate here as a buyer- If you are selling artist promo cards, PLEASE note the condition and provide proper scans. I am getting tons of grief for wanting to return a card with a large line/crease/bubble whatever you would like to call it and have plenty of photo evidence.. Not buyer's remorse, just not wanting to pay $ for damaged cards.

I’ve told the reps that returns have to be significantly higher on anything labeled with project 2020. I’m sure they have metrics that could show them what’s going on if they cared to look.

What if the buyer returning the card doesn’t actually send the card in the return box?

Yup sounds about right. Just like the people who cry foul when their purchases get cancelled by crappy sellers but then also cry foul when their sales get returned by buyers.

If only everyone would have listened to me all the times I warned against selling on eBay!!! lol. I’ve made it well into the green now and have sold zero p2020 on eBay. It’s beyond stupid to even entertain the thought of selling these on eBay.

eBay returns then turn into missed opportunities when the seller can get a “great price” on a card that’s on the decline. The return shipping, loss of revenue between the original price and the new market, potential buyer breaking the case just to return it, and overall morale dumper will ruin the outlook of the most chipper of people.

People.

Don’t.

Sell.

These.

On.

eBay!!!!!!!!!

This is me he is ripping. I guess I didn’t “do the right thing” because I didn’t refund him on an item he ultimately overpaid for? And then insinuates he will only use eBay moving forward. Why? So he can return because of his mistake!?

Some people need to look in the mirror and not blame sellers for their poor decisions.
