Strange to say this on a Tuesday, but the new rankings are up!! Who are the movers and shakers?? Let's see!!
Biggest Gain: LSU and Iowa State each gained 6 spots to #'s 3 and 16, respectively... but the big winner is Florida State who goes from unranked to #14. If we look at "Others Receiving Votes" they were #40 last week, so it is a gain of 26 (!) spots. Biggest Drop: Alabama is a big loser dropping 13 spots to #21 but if we look at "Others" then Boise State fell completely off the radar. They dropped from #25 to not receiving a single vote, which puts them in a (roughly) 100-way tie for #46. Smallest drop for a loser: With 3 top 10 games, it is no surprise to see the losers of those 3 games drop only a little. Notre Dame fell the least of the bunch, dropping 3 spots to #9. Worst gain for a winner: A couple teams won but fell, which is always rough. Arizona State, Michigan, SMU and Texas Tech all won and fell a spot, but the biggest fall for a winner was Indiana whose unimpressive win over old Dominion cost them 3 spots. |

It doesn't rain for 6 weeks here where I live.
Louisville-JMU starts 30 minutes later it is a monsoon and I lose satellite TV.
