At least it only counts as one loss. I wish Warren would’ve come out to pitch the 7th but I didn’t question bringing in Cruz but leaving him after the 3rd batter when he clearly didn’t have it was the mistake. Bringing Leiter jr in with the bases loaded was stupidity. His last time he was brought in with the bases loaded he gave up a grand slam. Look at Hills track record with the bases loaded that was the move. I fear for Volpe if he strikes out leading off the 8th.

I know it meant nothing to Judge or the team but what about the fans that wanted to see one more Judge at bat.

mistake and bullpen seem to be common themes with Boone's managing.

So Warren pitches a good game and the bullpen implodes. And The Astros had to let the Blue Jays come back to win it to push the Yankees 3 back again. And Boston had to win to tie the Yankees for 2nd.

I mean they were down 10 runs. Why risk injuring your franchise player for a meaningless AB (Roman Anthony just landed on the IL for 4-6 weeks after getting hurt during an AB).

Can’t play the game fearing injury. I can see them not putting him in right field to not risk injury but an at bat which he hasn’t missed is different.

After Jomboy's interview with Boone yesterday, you can tell that Boone has nothing left to say when defending Volpe...

I've said this before but dont expect anything to happen with Volpe until after the season is over. Maybe they sit him during the playoffs but I think he'll still gets run.

It seems as though every year, there's a glaring issue with the team that the org just refuses to address in a timely manner. Like, Rizzo literally just announced his retirement but he was starting in the World Series like 10 months ago...

There's no way to defend it. He's played 3 years, he can't hit. He also terrible defensively now. There's no reason he should play on the Rockies let alone the Yankees.
