i doubt anyone really thought they would treat cody as more than a midcard squash guy. this was the weakest raw after wrestlemania i have ever seen. you gotta believe vince was all over the creative on this one

Vince back in control for sure, no women matches really tonight, you had the big useless giant gonzales 2.0 kick off the first match, you had a very weak return in Riddle to feud with a washed up Miz. Cody is buried now I think as he’s Lex Luger, and Bayley left or quit.

Totally predictable Brock was turning..he was laying it on thick with Cody plus outside of the 5 second kofi squash Brock doesn't wrestle on TV. What a boring post mania show

I'd like more wrestling with my 3 hours of wrestling please. What a brutal show. As soon as Brock came down to join Cody I called it. No clue the point behind it but its the same old stuff they used to do back in the day.

how anyone though they would give Cody the title is beyond me. He LITERALLY helped start their "rival" AEW. Putting the championship on him just legitimizes that promotion even more

I am quite sure somewhere in his contract it states at what point he will win the title. There is absolutely no way he would ever have signed knowing they would have free reign to make him look like a clown. I assure you there are clauses and milestones that are guaranteed that the casual fan is just too fickle to let the process play out.

How about this as a theory.....Brock attacked Cody because he can't wrestle for the title as long as Reigns is the Champion and Cody was the best chance Brock had to defeating Reigns so he blames Cody for robbing him of that chance. Or we come to find out when Lesnar was a FA he was going to sign with AEW but Rhodes nixed the deal in some fashion.

You lost me at legitimizes. WWE just merged to become a sports entertainment conglomerate. AEW isn’t coming close to WWE anytime soon.

It's a shame about Brock turning on Cody. I actually wanted to see them tag against Roman and Solo. Hopefully, they have a story develop out of it.

Absolutely horrible episode of raw to boot too. Love Seth literally wasting 10 minutes walking out doing nothing. Nothing happening matches and now Cody being instantly moved off Roman with no viable title challenger anywhere in site.

I just read the report and if true.....I'll go back to not watching. Poor HHH, took months to get a good product on TV after years of crap and Vince weasel's his way back in to kill the good vibes.

Apparently something was supposed to happen with Seth. Someone at Raw (might be a member here...so credit where it's due) said during commercial someone (WWE official I'm guessing) said something to Seth and he got visibly upset and threw the mic and came back from commercial where he was just in the ring standing there, eventually just leaving. Throughout that time, the cameraman kept signaling Seth to talk.

Sounds like if the reports are true about rewrites and segments getting cut, Seth's might have been one of them. The whole show was just a cluster...bad raw period...let alone Raw after mania.

I bet he has Roman Vs. McGreggor for Summerslam and build Steiner over the year. Cody will be stardust by the fall and will be back in AEW by next year.

Refuse to watch anything WWE with Vince involved.

Even with out all the sexual assaults, he lost touch with putting out even a decent at best wrestling product a long time ago.
