How interesting would it be if topps purchased or held back some of the cards included in the print run and built their own sets to sell at a later date. Parallel anyone?

Guaranteed they held some back or they print on demand when they need them for replacement requests. I would not put anything past Topps.

I had some experience with a small card company back in the late 80s, early 90s. They would announce a print run of say 100, but they would make 10 times that. Now those cards were not supposed to get out, but it seems a lot did.

So I'm sure Topps makes more than the number listed, but hopefully only releases that many. Holding back for replacement and such is fine as long as they don't get out.

Is there only one part in the base that has the logo man??
I did imagine the 1/1 might be superfractor (which I don't care if it was), and had slight hope for it to be autographed (bummer, but it's okay), but anyways, as I love Ichiro, glad that all the relics are somehow different from each other for each serial number.

They spelled Teheran as "Terehan" on back, but that is for all cards they produced, so I guess we can't really call that an error card.

Not sure. Do I like the /1 or /10 better. If the color matched in /10 I would pick it but I will have to go with the /1

Yeah, after all, 1/1 will always have its place as 1/1, so I'm happy with whatever Topps decided to do.
It would have been awesome if there was Marlins logo in the #/10 relic, but I learned that the bases only have the home team logos on them. I had thought maybe they have base made for every game with both team logos on the bases.
Though, the Rockies logo is still beautiful, and it does leave a good mark for the historical game being Rockies vs Marlins, so I'm still happy.
