I’ve responded to this multiple times.

The 150 card set of 150 years should be better due to more cards and stars. It is 1:7 so takes 1,050 packs for a set.
So revolution is not any more SP than the rest. Don’t just like at the 1:104 odds. 10 cards vs 150 means way more hunting for the 150 years vs revolutions.
I was just basing my comments on observations of the Revolutions inserts being bought up on ebay. I didn't notice any of the other inserts being bought up but then there are few listed.

It’s just sad. A release that most everyone looks forward to and enjoys.
I’m not saying you can’t still. No. You can. Just expect less value than past per box or case. If we only knew in advance. That’s the biggest thing. As these changes aren’t small but very significant especially in qty.
I am right behind you, I am also selling most of my Jumbos. I am taking a small loss after shipping and fees but you lose some you win some. I just can't believe Topps would do this. No one in there right mind will pre-order Jumbos after this. At least you were smart enough to buy Hobby. I didnt buy Hobby because takes for ever to break.

Wow, Wednesday is turning into a pretty crappy release day. At least there’s Optic basketball coming out, too.

No one should ever pre order again after this. its an absolute F U to anyone who bought early. If I were a big buyer (ie Brent), I would be in touch with an attorney about this and make a very public stink about topps

Not saying it can’t be done but when I go 45 cases without something I should get rather easily yet not a hit it becomes tougher.

And We all know about the Ginter wood minis. Which still has never been resolved.
Topps is lucky they are not a publicly traded company in a heavy regulated industry. The other issue is there is no true media/press source covering the hobby that can hold Topps accountable for their actions.

If my company did even a fraction of the blatant bait and switch Topps pulls people would lose their jobs or even worse if the regulators stepped in.

My biggest issue with Topps in recent years is not having to disclose insert rates on any of the better name autos. First glance at any sell sheet for a new product is plastered with autos of all the great players in the game. The checklist comes out a few weeks later and even thought it is a mix of players you still see guys like Trout, Harper on the checklist. What Topps never has to disclose is guys like Ryan O'Hearn have signed 1,000+ autos for every Trout auto. Even on the low #d parallels Topps only has guys like Trout sign a fraction of the #d autos. If their is a Gold Version #d to 50 O'Hearn will sign all 50 but Trout may only sign 25 yet they still number his cards to 50.

I have a feeling they will take a lot of heat for this one. Just think they pay people to come up with this crap.

I worry about Heritage know. People are all ready Pre-selling sets on Ebay. They could do the same thing again.

As many of us know, there are Topps employees who are members here, feel free to chime in at any time since we all know you read these threads.

I expected to hit a wood though. Multiple.
I open more than anyone.
Plus no one hit a wood. Across the entire print run. That’s the point on the woods.

Also I have opened 45 cases of heritage without hitting any sp errors, traded, throwbacks etc which I should have had around 32 or so.

Then there have been time where I’ve opened 80+ cases and missed out on 1 per Box odds things. Not guaranteed hits. So those have always been tough to get full replacements. At least for me due to my qty. they always say they don’t have enough to fill what’s missing

Again. I’m not saying don’t try. Try!!
But man if 7000 jumbo cases are missing SP cards they need to get to printing tomorrow.

I'm still looking forward to it.....a few less inserts and sp's won't damper the fun of ripping.

Yet with all of these issues people still pre-order Topps cards? Very confusing to me.

Not to mention the people who are saying they won't pre-buy Jumbo going forward... Why would you pre-buy anything? This could have just as easily happened to hobby and jumbo could have been loaded.

It's shocking to me that people continue to allow this to happen to them, especially with so many recent examples of being taken advantage of.

We're not buying a necessity like gasoline here. It's spending our disposable income on non-essential needs. You can watch a great movie trailer on TV, pay your 10 bucks to see it, then find it it's the worst piece of trash ever made. Do we expect the Hollywood police to make us whole? We can stop buying sports cards anytime we want.

Agree. $25 would be a great buy at that point in my opinion.

I still wonder what Topps was thinking to kill such a good thing. Series 1 was always a big seller and had a great following. If people have to pay 400-500 for a master set it just may drive them away. I guess thats what happens when you get greedy

What would they print and how would they distribute? Many of those boxes would already be in the hands of a second or third person.

Do you think all this crap Topps is pulling will drive the price of the master sets up higher?

It would be (hilariously) sad if they didn’t pack out the SPs in hobby nor jumbo.
