What I meant was what’s the difference between SSK and just dropping the package off? I think most post offices you can just drop off a package with printed postage. Is the kiosk doing something extra?

So I'm definitely using the kiosk over waiting line. It's the same thing just one saves time. At this point I think this is just a way to humble brag that op is buying $500+ items.

Wow that’s a dumb post… I have a package with expected delivery today that is essentially saying preshipment. No one is bragging about a $500 package. Blocking you for the continued unhelpful/mindless replies though

Expected is not guaranteed. But yes taking it to the counter is the same as using the kiosk. There's even a camera above mine capturing all movement around the kiosk and drop off slot.

There is post in a previous thread about the use of a kiosk. As I recall the sender had his INR insurance claim denied because he used the kiosk but could not prove actual mailing.....I guess you could use the kiosk, get your tracking number, but then just walk out the door never having mailed the package....at least that was the reason for the USPS insurance denial. With USPS insurance I'm sure they would have found another way to deny the claim....they are really good at that!!

I just checked the first scan from one of the packages I dropped off at the SSK yesterday morning and the first scan is "USPS IN POSSESSION OF ITEM."

So much for 2-3 day shipping or whatever they say Priority is estimated these days. This has become quite common recently- I’m noticing an uptick in strange tracking/delays this past month or so with USPS.

The package above which the seller dropped off with the SSK on Monday morning- sent priority mail- nothing at all on tracking as of Friday night. I suspected this would be coming when I saw that initial tracking scan.

Ya I mailed a Priority package while on vacation from MO Jul 22nd and it just left Atl for SGC today. I am figuring arrival by the 30th now and checked in by next Monday at SGC. Totally not happy with USPS on this for a Priority package.

And now for the small miracles of the USPS and SGC, items arrived today, picked up and marked received by SGC 2 orders 1 card on a two day turn around and 21 cards for regular service.

Is anyone else having slow shipping to Hawaii right now. So while on vaca last month I sold and shipped a card USPS Ground Advantage and Last Tracking was San Fran on the 31st with an update on Aug 4th saying enroute late delivery.

My last package to HI took almost two weeks to arrive. Buyer seemed fine with it thankfully.

I'm sure it's been discussed several times already, but I need a little advice. I have an item not received request open and today is the last day before eBay can step in. The package has been moving but hasn't been delivered after two weeks. Am I screwed and need to refund even though it will probably be delivered in a few days? Tracking won't show delivered so if this is automated, I'm guessing I will get a strike on my account. Item heading to FL from PA spent time in TN, TX, PR, and MI before making it to FL.

If this is Ground Advantage and will ultimately have a delivered scan, let them close it, then appeal after delivered. The strike will go away, and you will get your money back from eBay.

If you close it, you have to hope the buyer will resend payment. Which is no guarantee.

Since the package is moving, I might even contact customer service and see if they'll extend the deadline.

Two of these are still sitting out there.

One of these just updated for the first time in eight days in wrong destination state.

Other has not updated since initial acceptance scan at local PO.

Dropped another three off today at local PO , all three with initial accept scan at local office. We will see if the regional scans any of these.

Something within the USPS system is really off as of late. Especially with packages being directed to the wrong state / region of the country or making return trips back to their origination state for no apparent reason after arriving close to their intended destination.

Tons of Reddit posts about it and I am encountering it pretty frequently with my shipments.

This is just one example of a few that I have going on right now. Package is going from PA to IL. Made its way to IN, then returned back to PA. Just makes zero sense.

I remember a few people on here talking about recycled tracking numbers and wondering if that is what is going on here. I kept getting notifications of a package coming to me that I was not expecting. Finally took time to look over the tracking after I got a notification that the package has been forwarded after being out for delivery.

I did buy something from a gentleman in Carver MA around the July date but that arrived and did not purchase anything from CA in the beginning of September.

Nothing I need to do as I don't think I am missing anything, but it just seemed a bit off...
