It's one thing to just not be that good. But I've always felt he gives the team a loser vibe. Hope they can score a couple goals in game 2 and at least make it interesting and give the home crowd something to cheer about.

I didn't bother staying up for the third goal, but the first goal was a defensive error and borderline soft by Skinner.
The second goal was just lazy play by Edmonton's defense.

2 errors, 2 goals, that's all it takes...

I felt like Edmonton outplayed Florida, so we'll see what happens in Game 2, they gotta come out buzzin..

I'd feel OK with them going back to Edmonton with the series split 1-1, 2-0 is a different story, especially if they outplay Florida again but can't solve Bobbo...


Total side bar, I feel like every year lately there's 1-2-3 guys on these Stanley Cup finalist teams that recently played in Buffalo... My god why couldn't they put it together when they had all these guys at the same time?!?!?!?

I would argue they looked really good. Bob just stood on his head. If the Oilers play like that every game of this series Bob will eventually break.

To me it does, FLA might get the sweep.

To each their own though, personally I've been on FLA.. well East to raise the cup to be exact since Jets-Avs-Stars-Oilers were so highly regarded so odds were pretty good.

If Edmonton does come back and make it a series and even wins, I still think Bobrosky wins Conn Smythe at this point, hands down…

Mcdavid would single handily have to win the series by himself to get the conn smythe…

You’re sadly correct.

But it’s also an example why the NHL will continue to be looked at as a 4th rate, bush league. Unnecessary and intentional elbow to the head, no problem. Unnecessary and intentional slash to the nuts, small fine. Those hits were egregious and predatory.

In any other league that takes itself seriously the question would be how long is the suspension. NHL is the only league that regularly excuses plays like that. Having a Department of Player Safety in the NHL is like having a Complaint Department in North Korea.
