The parents at these schools / I can't imagine.

School started back and 3 kids tested positive in this district within 3 days. No way I’d show up for what those teachers are paid for that.

They should never teach again. How do they handle flu season?

Probably by getting a flu shot and taking one of the 10,000 medicines that help with the flu.

Dayquil mimosas. (add some grapefruit juice for increased effectiveness)

Thankfully I am not speaking from experience. I managed to get through my first teaching years without getting sick. My body only broke down as soon as summer hit.

i think the teachers pay thing is a common misconception, they do alot better than people think.

im all for safety so i get it, and no amount of money is worth potentially dying for, but if the safety was in place i see no issues.

was at a friends house watching the bears yesterday and she is saying how she is dying to get back into the classroom rather than teach online. she said the kids just do whatever they want because they are home.

You are right, I guess we should save all the essential workers at grocery stores by closing them for the next 6 months.

Incorrect.

They are not students; they are staff. 3 staff members in the district have COVID.

43 schools in the district; 3 total cases, all staff. First get your facts straight; second if 3 cases of COVID in 43 schools means you're "not showing up" to do your job to teach students, then that speaks volumes of you and your character.

I’ve smashed a triangle or three in the Basketball section when political discussions made their way over there (pre BLM painted on the court). Politics goes here; basketball and cards goes there. Other than that, never once. And certainly never reported anyone over hurt feelings. Soft. So soft.

Let them.

Having 276 teachers call out so they can #*!* over the parents the day before school is supposed to start offers them no support from me.

I think the strike comment was about grocery store workers striking.

I guess everyone strikes from fear, we all go to our living area and wait for society to collapse.

Let them too then! (Sorry if I misunderstood the comment about who is striking!)

Anybody who doesn't want to work doesn't have to. Don't work, don't get paid. It's the American way.

I mean this is where I got the info. It clearly says 3 students.

https://www.tmj4.com/news/local-news...chool-district

https://www.tmj4.com/news/local-news...-test-positive

“The Kenosha Unified School District and the Kenosha County Division of Health say the two freshman who contracted the virus are the first confirmed cases within KUSD, as classes resumed on Sept. 14.

This comes on the same day that Bristol School in Kenosha County closed after two employees and one student tested positive for COVID-19”

It's something in the air on the West Coast, fear. I've been at work every day since this thing started except one. Working in an office with other people.
