I thought you were a 76ers fan. I know you were also rooting for the Bucks, which I can understand since you like Giannis. |

can we get some people to start talking about the magic?
![]() will they sniff a finals appearance before 2035? will they ever have a top 10 superstar play for them again? when will they be relevant again! |

I think Siakam to Warriors is still very interesting - and they might be able to get him without giving up Wiseman... Kuminga would be an intriguing piece for Toronto [similar build and tools to Barnes] and of course Wiggins [Canada's prodigal son] would have to be a part of it to make contracts work. |

I thought he was a sixers fan as well and don’t remember him pulling for the cavs the years I was pulling for them and Lebron. Admittedly there have been a ton of members come and go so I was unsure about this but have been asking myself lately, with all of his cavs posts, “I thought he was a sixers fan?” I don’t care either way, root for who you want and post about it if you’re so inclined. Others will have the right to challenge any opinions you post but we’re all here to interact.

Understandable, since there hasn't been much to discuss with the Cavs until maybe this offseason.... Well... 4 days after I had surgery to remove the tissue around a pre-cancerous tumor, I drove 8 hours and paid 4 figures to go see Game 7 of the NBA Finals in Oakland. One of the best decisions I've ever made. When LeBron made the decision, I was live on CNN out in downtown Cleveland with the rest of the fans awaiting to announcement I was sitting courtside when Shaq came to Cleveland to try and deliver a "ring for the King". As a kid I went to the "Cream Puff" game to see MJ destroy the Cavs dreams in the playoffs. I'd say that qualifies me as a pretty serious Cavs fan.

They've got several decent young players but are seemingly always tanking to get more, which would then hamper the ones they've already got... Or they're just really really really bad despite their best efforts. I definitely enjoy the David and Jeff commentary, best out of any specific team's that I've heard. Can't stand one from the Cavs and one from the Hornets. |

Tonight we’ll see if the Grant-less Pistons can pick up a much needed W against a disgruntled Pacers team. Man, this rivalry has fallen a long ways since the Malice at the Palace days.
If Pistons lose they’ll tie for longest losing streak in team history. If someone told me that would happen prior to the season I’d be shocked. But makes sense. Still early in this rebuild and both Bey and Stew have regressed. Killian Hayes still ass. Saben Lee actually looks the best out of all 4 in that group of second year players right now. And Dwayne Casey finally opened up his eyes and is pulling Corey Joseph (I hate him) out of the rotation so this kid can finally get actual minutes. Cade has to keep up his recent play if they want any chance to win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

![]() I actually don't mind reading some of the Cavs stuff. Because I don't really watch them so I get some solid fantasy info out of it. It certainly beats Khal whining the same thing over and over about the Dallas coach (insert any coach here) sucking, the Dallas players being not worthy of a spot in the NBA, or some other excuse. Wondering what's next. The Dallas team colours don't work?? Anyhoo. The Cavs keep rolling teams. Amazing what happens in the NBA if you focus on defense.

Lol, IT gets assigned to the somewhat decimated Nuggets G-league team, plays one game and gets signed by... The Lakers...

That's what's nice about this team. Not too many people are invested heavily in anyone on this squad (I have maybe 1 to 1.5% of my collection value in each Garland and Mobley) so it's not a blame game of trying to sink everyone else around to prop up any one person. Trust me, if the Cavs win because Jarrett Allen has a monster night, even if it's at the expense of stats for DG or Mobley, I'm a happy fan.

Instead, the Cavs got the All-Star game with a contingency that the arena was remodeled, a proposal that was originally rejected and then some last minute (possible bribery) shenanigans that reversed the decision and allowed them to break ground with actual hours to spare. That silenced the rumors of the team moving. Then they went on to actually start drafting well again, pulled off an unbelievable heist in trading for Allen (which they then signed), then made a move to grab Markkanen and Rubio to show that they were willing to spend money on a legitimate team. Pre-season ranks/projections came out stagnant, projecting a season similar to last year. I commented at the time that I couldn't understand how a team that added Markkanen, Rubio, and Mobley without losing anyone significant could be "projected" the same as last year. They started 0-2 and you already started to hear the groans locally. Sexton was a cancer, blah blah, blah. And then they started winning. And winning. And winning. And their worst stretch this year with half their roster hurt was remarkably competitive. And now that they are healthy they don't look like a team that can be beat in 7 games. This year they have a chance at landing in a 5-8 slot, and maybe getting through the first round. With the current talent and youth they have, one more key piece could make them a legit contender. I give it 3 years or less to reach the finals again. I truly believe that. Which is so far beyond imagination that the fans are genuinely stoked at what is happening here and to do it all without Lebron is really something.

It was more about how the Nuggets kinda needed him and gave him a chance only to have him stolen away.
Unrelated but also related - https://mobile.twitter.com/ClutchPoi...19405100380163 Refs hosing Dallas again apparently. |

So far, it seems to amount to, "Yeah, you're the small-letters mvp, but you don't have healthy star teammates, so tough." Without looking, who can say whether it's Curry or Joker who has a higher PPG this season? Last I checked they were really close. Isn't that where Steph is supposed to have a clear edge numbers-wise? |

If stats are much too limited in reflecting player value, then Joker's 14.6 BPM to Curry's 7.8 is failing to reflect a ton of value.
If Curry is the MVP/mvp this year, then the advanced stats need a serious overhaul or just be ignored. Discuss. Or we can just be honest and admit that Joker's teammate support this season so far sucks, and that he'd likely be MVP front-runner with a healthy cast. (How might we compare a team SRS with a player's BPM? The historically best SRS are around 11-12, and the historically best BPMs are that and higher, topping out around 13 (until this year). So if Joker's BPM is 14 and his team's SRS is around 0.0, then do his teammates make up a total of very negative BPM?) |

Of the top 10 all-time in single-season BPM through last season, only MJ ('89) didn't win MVP. I recall the voting being close that year, though, with plenty high vote share for MJ.

Saddiq Bey with 22 at half. He wore a headband tonight. Can’t tell me there’s no correlation.

Detroit's a Killian demotion from being semi competitive.
