Among all of the 2022 rookies, where do the Platinum Anniversary cards fit? I love the look, but I mean in terms of investability. Did Topps discontinue the series? From what I can tell, they didn’t make Platinum this year.

It's come out crazy late each of the last two years - as in, 2023 Chrome Anni came out 5/22/24. So who knows. I don't think they're particularly premium as such things go, though.

Thanks. That’s the sense I got. Like I said, I like the look, but they don’t seem to be as sought after or investible. Been working on collecting 2022 Sapphire in a few of the colors/parallels and am trying to keep focused on that pursuit and not get distracted by other cards right now. But a few have recently presented themselves.

I hear you. But at the end of the day, I’d like my cards to retain value, if not grow in value. Especially considering the cost is not insignificant! At least to me, in my pursuit.

Completing collections of the 2022 Sapphire parallels (72, US100, and US113) in blue, green, gold, and orange is my current goal. Will have to share some pics when I’m further along.

Crazy how difficult it is to gem US113. If memory serves, there are something like 40 PSA 10 US113 (Rookie Debut) blue and 440 PSA 10 US100 (hitting image) blue. Saw blue/base on eBay for not even a day recently before someone bought it. They don’t seem to be often available.

Yea, the RD cards suck as a whole. i wonder if there are less PSA 10s because people dont bother slabbing them

as to your investing point, i hear you. i would then recommend you stick to what you are adding. if you feel the need to add more i would say grab some Update Blacks. i would stay away from the Platinum Chrome

I just picked up his 2022 rookie topps chrome auto in a psa 9. Just curious as to why the pop report is so low? Pop is 25 with only 4 higher. Seems really low for a tc base rookie auto. Sorry haven’t figured out how to post pics yet.

Thank you! Good point about a lot unopened. I’ve just been watching this one for a long time always just wanting the base for cost reasons. Rarely see them pop up for sale so was excited to get the psa 9.

It is not the update, correct. And I guess that was my question if these were a sp or anything. Lower than the regular rookie autos. I knew he had a sp non auto in topps chrome just didn’t know if this was also.

22’ Chrome update was a steal when it was 800 a case for 40 box mega cases even with high production run.You could’ve pick those up 6 months ago. They are currently 1150- 1200 a case. They will continue to rise with WITT being legit.

as long as you dont open it. once you do, its terrible
