I don't know if that is literally true, but I do know people who wouldn't think twice about picking a $1.24 item over a 99 cent item if there was any kind of effort barrier. Even if that effort is as small as moving your mouse 6 inches to the right and clicking on a different card.

Have you ever been standing at a gas pump ready to fill up, and then noticed that the station on the opposite corner is a few cents cheaper? At what point would you put the nozzle back and drive to the other station? Some people might do it for a penny a gallon. Some people wouldn't even if it was $1 per gallon.
Actually it was the third card being the most likely to sell with the second card being the next likely. This was several years ago, would be nice if he could give an update if it is still true.

I am pretty sure he just pulled that out of his arse and has no data to prove that claim.

This would make some sense. I have bought several promos, executive proofs, and backdoored sample stuff from him. Some of the cards possibly sent to Beckett as media samples for product preview articles.

He was very low on some of his listings a while back. Pricing below the $50 threshold to avoid the extra fee. New listings were being scooped up quickly and he has since started listing things much higher.

No. He may think that. I am saying there is no data to prove it.

No idea if it's true, but it would be very much in his interest to say that to curb undercutting prices

I have never sold on COMC, but want to begin to get rid of some of those incredibly low end cards that I'll never move any other way.

How do fees work with COMC? I saw something like for a Basic processing service that it was like 30 cents per card? Or am I looking at this wrong? Because I also saw a 1 cent deal? Unsure how that works, hence why I am asking people who are more knowledgeable than I am

Thanks for the help in advance!

Hey there! First, you're going to want to determine which of our service levels fit what you're looking for. If you're looking to sell low-end items, and do not mind a wait time for processing, or if their value is not time sensitive, it sounds like our basic processing service is probably best for your submission.

You can check out the full list of services that we offer here:
https://www.comc.com/fees

After that, you're going to want to create a COMC account, navigate to our submission wizard (https://www.comc.com/Manage/SubmissionWizard) and follow the prompts. Once you've done so, print out your paperwork, carefully package your submissions (Best practices video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzrLM7AMjLA), and ship it our way.

Prior to your consignment due date, you'll want to purchase sufficient store credit to pay for your consignment services. Once you've done so, and the processing is complete, the items will be uploaded into your account for you to price to sell.

Once they sell, you can use store credit acquired through sales to purchase other items on COMC, purchase additional services on COMC, or request a cash-out via check or paypal. If you do request a cash-out, a 20% commission fee is assessed.

I hope this covered your question, but I'll be around if you have any more questions!

I got started differently then probably most people. I didn't send any cards in, all my cards on COMC were transferred over from my e-pack account. COMC has a partnership with Upper Deck. COMC is integrated with e-pack, so transferring my cards was free and easy. I didn't even have to fund my account i simply just listed the cards after they basically show up instantly on COMC and started selling. I still have to pay them a fee of .25 per card but it's not upfront, it's taken out of the sale once it's final. So far im very pleased with COMC.

There's probably a non-memorabilia card with the same picture where that descriptor is used.

There are 3 version of the card with 2 card numbers. The ones with the same card number, one you can see his batting gloves and the other you cannot. A more accurate description would be to note the border color, as all three are a different color.

If they could add another step to ignore E-pack items I would be set!

While logged in, go here: https://www.comc.com/Manage/Profile

Scroll to Incoming Offers. I set my Minimum Offer % = Auto-Accept Offer % at 90. Basically, people have to offer 90% or better, and I don't have to haggle. I only get emails where the offers are also auto-sales.

Did you opt into listing on eBay and Amazon? My cards are listed at my full asking price plus the shipping surcharges. However, I only get 80% of my asking price if they buy from those two sites. That is the reason why I chose 90 internally.

It would be totally awesome to have ePack / not ePack check boxes in a search.

Not sure how hard it would be to implement, but I'd love to see check boxes for broad price filters, like "$1 or less", "$1.01 to $2.50", "$2.51 to $5", and so forth.

I’d like to see items with condition notes omitted as well

Also, I think I’ll send a few hundred thousand vintage to correctly price and put DeansCards out of business

I don’t understand the preferential treatment for weak prices

I haven’t sent my vintage because there is no PSA option yet, but it looks like that will be announced around the time of the National
