What does "terrible" mean though? It's something he can play through and this terrible feeling is part of the rehab process?

I don't think the team would risk his long term health if him playing on it right now would cause problems down the line.

Can anybody recall a recent example where the team covered up an injury and put their star out there in recent times? It was common practice a couple decades ago (movies made showed this in multiple sports) but I do worry the team is complicit if indeed Ronald has a real issue. Just like April when he was rushed to the field, ATL loses 3 games approaching a tight September race and that put him back in the lineup last night. I just hope I have paranoia regarding shooting his knee up for pain just to have his presence in the lineup now to give up years on his career later. And yes, no team really cares about the future like that anymore regardless of long contracts.

Only time will show and I won't be around to see if I'm right or wrong due to my own health but man, for Ronald's sake I hope the Braves save him over this season if that's the right thing to do.

Given his long-term contract, I think his long-term interests and the Braves long-term interests are perfectly aligned. I cannot imagine them knowingly risking career implications for a few regular season games in a year they are a lock to at least make the playoffs. I'm not saying they've managed it perfectly by any stretch, just that they have no reason to purposefully do anything other than what they think is advisable medically.

He's 12 months removed from a major knee injury. This year is just icing on top for the career. Zero reason to be actually worried if you're a fan & collector. I expect him to be back to Ronnie in '23. The Braves aren't risking him over a regular season game in Colorado.

I know what is said in public statements but just soreness may not be entirely correct. But yes no one can imagine the team sacrificing his legs for this season in particular.

Man his stuff took a massive dump this year, his season isn't that great to be honest. I'm bullish on the guy long term, but seriously what happened with his power. He had 44 extra base hits in 82 games last year, this season he has 29 in 95 games.

he's not a 100% healthy, the knee is still bothering him. report came out i think today about it.

and Adrian Peterson ran for 2,000 yards 9 months after suffering a torn ACL.

If he wasn't ready to come back in May, they shouldn't have rushed him back or eased his playing better over the year.
