To enjoy wrestling some suspension of rational thinking is probably needed. I found the match entertaining, and while I agree with you that a chair hit there was not allowed by “the rules” I would have been very disappointed if they disqualified pac for that. If it really upsets you so much or you’re unable to buy into what AEW presents you know there are alternatives right? But I get that the part you really enjoy is coming on the AEW thread and trashing it every week.

what new stars has AEW built since its inception?

im dying to know

Im not talking about legit performers in the business, and AEW does have those . Im talking actual stars.

MJF? no one outside the IWC knows who the hell that is

is it Darby Allin?.............please

Hook? if i did a google search for "Hook" id get 100 entires for Peter Pan before i even got to the wrestler

Swerve Strickland...........please

Moxley is about all they have, hes still only 38. Unless he just gets burnt out i can honestly see him there in the main scene for 6-7 more years

just feels like they will continue to stay afloat and recycle through whoever WWE doesnt need or want to keep around. They will probably get Steen over there sometime late next year. ooooo joy

WCW died because ultimately they had ALL these known quantities and built exactly ONE star off of them............Goldberg

1 star made in 10+ years

AEW will suffer same fate

I'm not sure I understand what your true definition of 'star' is. You are kinda all over the board.

You don't give them credit for MJF because people who aren't into wrestling don't know who he is. If that's the criteria, how many stars has WWE made since John Cena & Batista who debuted 20+ years ago?

Bryan vs Okada announced out of the blue for tomorrow. Bryan actually cut a great promo on social media but really don't love something like this being thrown out there w no build. Just like last week I loved finally getting to see Nigel vs Bryan again but it was a bummer Bryan didn't get to cut a single promo on him and then Nigel didn't even get a hand shake/ applause post match because of the pointless Christian non run in.

But there is a build....they've fought twice already and last time they fought Okada beat him and broke his arm and orbital bone.

I don't believe Bryan needed to cut a promo on Nigel. Nigel was the one to talk #@#@#@#@ for the past 18 months every week on collision and was the one who wanted the match. I think Nigel did a fantastic job building it up especially the week before their match to close out dynamite and the video package AEW put out and explained their history. Not everything has to be force fed to the viewers like they are 10 like WWE does.

Also Nigel got his ovation after the Christian run in but it wasn't shown on TV.

The stipulation for Bryan vs. Okada in tomorrow's title for title match is so stupid, it's unbelievable.

It says Okada's Continental title is on the line only for the first 20 minutes of the match.

Seriously?

Seriously.

My guess as for the outcome - Bryan will win, but after the 20 minutes have expired. Thus, no titles change hands. In a double title match.

Stupid.

So a 20:01 match? Bryan will have the pin, but the ref will be just a little late on the count with the 3 count coming a second too late.

Sounds like with the new deal that Dynamite and Collision are going to be simulcast on Max along in addition to their cable streaming.

Assuming everything gets revealed today/tonight at Dynamite 5.

I've heard about AEW TV deals for the past year lol I'll believe it when I see it. Everyone speculates instead of just waiting for an announcement.

Oh I loved Nigel's promos. Wasn't so much it needed Bryan's promos on Nigel as I personally wanted to see it. After all these years it would've been cool to hear Bryan talk about him. Bryan and Nigels feud in ROH was one of the only things that kept me into wrestling at the time, getting to see the match alone was still amazing (even if Nigel is a coward for not giving us the frosted tips one last time).

Here's your announcement

https://x.com/AEWonTV/status/1841570...pGCTMDgcA&s=19

https://www.pwinsider.com/article.php?id=188582

*Variety's report also stated, "The deal also includes enhanced distribution rights across social media as well as potential new AEW programming on linear and digital platforms. Furthermore, AEW live pay-per-views will be available on Max later in 2025 at a discounted price per event, with all marketing and promotions of those events exclusively centered on Max."

Did Takeshita just give the worst knee strike in wrestling history to Ospreay?

I see AEW had horrible rating lowest ever for a show but I can't blame them on this I don't think anyone knew they moved to Tuesday night because of baseball.

Also readh Killswitch is having some very serious health issues that invovle his heart and right now number one concern is just him recovering his health and that him ever getting back into a ring right now is a long in the distance future concern.

I can count on one hand the amount of feuds they've had that kept me interested.

People don't watch wrestling on TV for just the fighting. They watch because they care about who's fighting.

I agree they have a lot of random matches make no sense.

Though watching on X I see Moxley totally mailed in the attack by Bryan throwing himself into the garage door then the flop he did afterwards.

Idk, they really hyped Title Tuesday on Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. So their normal fans certainly knew it was on. But right now other than Bryan, not a lot has me interested. I look forward to Lashley showing up at some point

Rico from Billy and Chuck with MxM!

Not only is it a great callback to old days since Billy is with Acclaimed, but I had heard a few years ago that Rico had been dealing with serious health issues. Not that I kept up but it's always great to see someone from the past looking good instead of hearing they passed or something negative, it's great to see someone who had health issues seemingly be doing pretty well. Shoutout Rico.

Sometimes you just have to pivot when someone has been out for almost a year. MJF turned heel a while ago so it makes sense to bring him back as a face.

Plus someone getting hurt or written off tv as a heel or face and then coming back as the opposite has never happened in the history of wrestling????? come on man
