We still have a ton of the pop to sell through. Liquidity works both ways. It’s great when you find the sucker to overpay, and is absolutely daunting to realize there aren’t 300+ people willing to fork over the type of money needed to obtain this card currently. |

![]() You know... I've always thought that! Especially silly 90's inserts. I always felt those were fake prices just to try and drive the market up and create all the nonsense hype, that has now died down, thankfully. But I think you're right in saying that manipulation is still going on, for sure. No way thats a 75K card lol. Maybe 15K at best. |

Not surprising the trajectory down on the 86F....winding clock ahead 5 months. Can't wait to see what it's gonna be in another 6 months. Lol Rare cards are nicer, except when the amount of people willing to pay manipulated prices becomes even rarer. Or even non existent. Lol I see these dudes now dumping all their manipulated high pop PSA 10 Lebron chrome RCs too now this way they stick the buyers with a nice loss before $hit hits the fan and it shows up "officially" on card ladder as a substantial loss in another 6-12 months 86 Fleer. PMGs. LeBron RCs. Poopini Gold. Same ol crap.... Same ol crap.... These same dudes rotate pump and dump cards and are real trash I've noticed the latest pump and dump scheme I'm now seeing is 90s Stars PSA 10 inserts of players like Ewing Kemp Rodman etc... It really is pathetic and the "new" hobby has become a real joke because of these bad actors This way they can stick the buyers with losses and "improve" by consolidating up their PC... HOWEVER.... Those "RARE" cards they are "consolidating" into will then be listed for sale into the "auction buddies good ol boys club " pumped as rare blah blah blah and manipulated for big gains as well.... Same ol crap....i mean it's pretty much....GUARANTEED (ala Charles Barkley on TNT..lol) When I see these dudes brag about their PC I question....Who did you screw over to get your PC? Was it really ethical.? For these bad actors it is never ethical. Though they'll remain in denial with selfish greed as their blinding objective For many of these parasites they are actually shooting themselves in the foot as the high end market will continue to soften simply because due to a decline of credibility For the real collectors low end really is the best way to enjoy the hobby while the high end market sorts itself out in the next few years... And weeds out the trash of the hobby ![]() Last edited by Starman101; 03-08-2023 at 02:10 AM. |

That questionable 130k PSA 10 eBay sale from last week got another strike against it being legit, when the seller oddly relisted/"sold" the card again yesterday.
Humorously, the seller left positive feedback for the buyer of the $35,000 listing but nothing for the 130K auction. ![]()

Again, if you have $30k or $100k to spend on Jordan and all you come away with is his 86 Fleer Rookie than you're an idiot.
Not that I don't think you'll be fine in the long term, but there are so many great Jordans out there for that money.

What a fun rabbit hole that 130K eBay "sale" ended up providing.
Appears that recent eBay PSA 10 "sale" (22978516) is/was part of Probstein123's collection. Even appears in Ricky's showcase, from this recent IG video he posted last week. Also humorous, the card right next to it in the video just happens to be the infamous "coffee stained" Jordan (02000290) that was pulled from Goldin auctions and "reviewed" by PSA. Was Probstein the consignor or the person the "10" was dumped upon, after Goldin pulled the auction? Quote:

There’s currently a fake PSA 10 up on eBay. Reported it this morning, but it’s still live as of right now.

I love messing with people so I messaged this seller about this card and his response was "what are you talking about?" "the card is exactly as shown". Yup, ok dude. |

This PSA cert is valid, but I still had a weird feeling about this listing. This is being sold from Canada, which conveniently gets around the eBay authenticity guarantee, but it’s already supposedly eBay authenticated right? Here’s the part that throws me off. I’ve had a few cards I’ve purchased go through their authentication program and none of them look like this. I also can’t find a record of this selling previously on eBay in the time where it would have gone through the authentication program. So posting this so that those better at spotting fakes than I am can take a look and see what they think. |

Thanks for confirming my suspicions on this one. Probably good to be aware there are fake eBay authentication stickers out there already too.
The real eBay authentication includes a QR code you can scan to verify the item. Last edited by JAMSC; 03-14-2023 at 07:38 AM. |
