So now it should be set for the Lightweights:

If Khabib doesn’t return Poirier fights Gaethje for the title

McGregor vs Chandler with winner facing Oliveria to set up the next challenger for the Lightwieght title

Yep, and Conor barely made any attempts to check them - just ate them straight to the leg.

I'm not sure about Conor from here. Khabib really humbled him, it seems. He has some heavy hands, but he gets gassed, can't wrestle, and his wide stance makes him vulnerable to situations like tonight.

When he's fighting featherweights who try to box with him, he looks amazing...but that's about it.

He fought really soft last night, that was my biggest takeaway. He didn't try to impose his will and to me when you are fighting someone like Dustin who's game is stamina - tire out your opponent you have to press the gas to the floor and take it to him and he didn't. He let Dustin play his game - get his kicks in - wear him out then beat him down.

Agreed - it actually looked like that's what Conor wanted to do at the start of the fight. He was chomping at the bit before the bell, immediately took center octagon and pushed forward...then Dustin cracked him with a right.

Conor started moving a lot more cautiously after that and the pressure level from him just seemed to drop.

Chandler had an impressive win last night. It was nice to see him to pull an Askren. I wonder who Chandler will get next. It should be interesting to see how his performs going forward, but a win over Dan Hooker is nothing to sneeze at.

I was also glad to see McGregor lose. He was much more humble leading up to this fight, but he is still an easy guy to root against, while Poirier is an easy guy to root for. McGregor/Diaz 3 could be on the table now. Hopefully we see Poirier/Gaethje for the title now too.

I'd assume we get Poirier vs Gaethe and winner fights #1 contender Chandler. The only scenario I see for Khabib to ever come back again is Chandler winning that potential match as Chandler is the only one that Khabib hasn't beat.

Conor’s done. Too much shaking his own hand and pumping it in the air. That hungry tiger is gone.

Do Bronx should be the one fighting Poirier for the belt. Unless Poirier wants the money fight with Nate. In that case it should be Chandler vs Do Bronx for the strap.

Hooker... man. He’s been in too many wars/beatings.

The same Topps Chrome auto of Dustin Poirier I bought for $5 before his fight against Hooker is now up to $113 with a day left. Thought about selling mine but too scared of a return.

this is what i want also. so many ppl seem to be forgetting about Gaethje. give the last two ppl that lost to Khabib the chance to get the undisputed belt. think it is a solid rematch both of grown a lot, damn can you image the battle of the leg kids

you can leave mcgregor out of it and have chandler fright oliveria if you want.

Absolutely - I remember thinking the same thing prior to the Gaethje vs. Barboza fight, and Gaethje obviously demolished him.

i was at that fight, i was super hyped for it. it ended sooner then i would have hoped, he crushed Barboza. Tony Ferguson wont ever be same after that Gaethje fight either

I think Khabib is retired for good. I dont think he can keep cutting down to 155 anymore and with Ramadan even if Khabib fought again it wouldnt be until the fall at a minimum.

We already saw Poirier beat Gaethje not too long ago handily. Don't need to see that one again.

The fights to make are Poirier vs. Olivera, Gaethje vs. Chandler, Connor vs Diaz/Ferguson

I’m with you, Poirier vs Olivera for the title, and Gaethje vs Chandler for next in line

Decided to give BKFC a shot. All respect to the fighters, and they are tough but besides 1 or 2 fighters, it seems like a majority would rather be competing in MMA or boxing. I think that'll be the biggest liability to it getting any bigger. Can't imagine a lot of elite combat sport athletes choosing to come up in bare knuckle fighting. I know it's only a few years old but pretty much every fighter was either their 1st or 2nd fight. Tough to imagine any fighter having a long career in the sport. Even the good fights were tough to watch. I got the 1 year pass because it was basically the same price as the PPV but probably won't tune into another fight anytime soon.

Burns should be embarrassed and rightfully crying like he was. Imagine being an “elite” combat sport athlete and having no clue how to block or parry a mediocre jab lol.

So Derrick Lewis just nearly killed Curtis Blaydes.

The Black Beast - All-time UFC KO leader.

That uppercut sent Blaydes to the shadow realm.

The Black Beast- one of my favorites.

Blaydes looked like an animal and Lewis dropped him with one of the cleanest uppercuts you’ll ever see.

At Heavyweight he is. I think he’s now tied with Vitor Belfort overall.

Dana White says he isn’t. I guess it came after training when he was suppose to be resting on the treatment he’s taking for COVID. Guess he was coughing up blood. I guess MMA fighters, during training bodies are compromised and some can get hit pretty hard. Cody Garbrandt took like 5-6 months to recover. I hope he can recover and fight again. Looked like a potential double champ.
