Sealed, absolutely, is the way to go being the short and easy answer...

But we are still talking when this pops up at MSRP....like technically ground level stuff still... Blasters are selling for 30ish already on the bay. If only those buyers knew to look on places like Walmart.com.

We're talking about the product in the early - mid climb. I'm starting to think the rookie stars in this class have a large enough sample size to show they are the real deal going forward.

Once MSRP finally dries up, the sealed goes up, the singles go up, and for those looking for the big money, the graded goes up.

I just think we are at the point of it being more than a sure thing and if people sit on their hands - will only wonder what if 3-6 months down the road... Luka in the playoffs would obviously be huge - but even looking at '18 Topps Update Baseball ascension during the dog days of summer when Acuna was sniffing 40/40 - when his raw mainline base was selling for 35 a piece - no reason why we don't see 3rd party sales of all - sealed, raw singles, and graded singles, take big leaps. Basketball is much hotter than Baseball - with a larger market.

I still see this level of product being that really nice place for smaller/newer collectors (seemingly a ton of them out there) that want the Luka RC symbol cards but can't or don't want to pay the Optic/Prizm prices that have already taken the next jump up in the past couple months. I remember staring at Prizm/Optic retail in stock @ MSRP on walmart.com in Septemberish and just wondering to pull the trigger - now.... I'm wondering what if I bought 40/80/120 instead of the 10 each of a few SKUs I did buy?

Another perspective:

Let’s say I buy 2 blasters and pull 4 Lukas. Let’s also say with the paper stock of some of the cards that only 2 look gradable.

$40 for blasters
~$20 in adding grading fees via bulk route

All Luka variations in base format PSA 10 are selling above $35 in completed sales with many $45+ depending on which ones you pull.

If you get 2 PSA 10 you’d be looking at netting at least $60 (with potential for a decent amount more, once again depending which ones you get). Then sell the other two not gradeable ones for $5-10 each.

And on top of all that you’re pulling Trae, Ayton, Graham, SGA etc

Seems like a no brainer on ROI percentages to me.

so if my plan is to just hold sealed is my best bet hangers($15) blasters ($25) or hobby boxes ($175) for ROI?

not hobby, any retail is fine to hold sealed.

Whatever you can find at retail. I have mostly found blasters.

After leaving 2 blasters on the shelf last week, I vowed to never do that again. I was running errands this weekend and went in to a couple Targets and Walmarts and came away with 9 fat packs and 2 blasters. Here’s the haul:

Can’t be said enough that this stuff is a must buy at SRP!
