There is a process to follow. The numbers, terms and amounts are tied to corporate fiduciary duties and approved by the SEC. That is why Hertz was denied the chance to float more shares after they filed BK last year.

Assuming dilution which seems like an inevitability. It's all speculation.

You know how much they are allowed to dilute and the process, I don't.

Currently a 5 million share offering would be eaten alive. That's $1.6B current market value. Even if the panic sell off happened over 5 million shares, which is a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of outstanding short shares (8% roughly), they'd still net $1B @ a $200 share price. I don't see dilution dropping the share price that low at this moment.

Today is a good day to buy PPD. Moved most of my MRNA earnings into CNRG. Clean energy ETFs and Uranium going up for the foreseeable future.

No toilet paper hands here--unlike GME, I think PLTR will seem like a bargain down the road at these prices

I'm amazed Reddit can influence the stock market so strong. I should've bought Gamestop when I had the chance.

I don't even know what this means. I don't mean that in a nasty way either. When I buy madden, I literally go to the Microsoft store and download it through there. Where can Gamestop benefit from this? If anything this eliminates their purpose at all. Does Microsoft actually believe they wouldn't receive that sale from me if I didn't buy my console specifically through Gamestop? What benefit does Gamestop bring to Microsoft? If Gamestop's sole purpose is to sell consoles (because games are now being downloaded) they won't be able to keep doors open. There's no way. I mean at least Best Buy sells other things besides video games. I'd have to imagine if Game Stop pivots, they start to look a lot more like a Best Buy than an exclusive video game store.

The reality is that anything can influence the stock market.

For all of the massive amounts of corruption out there, we still have regulations and institutions in place so that volatility is somewhat constrained. If the "whales" all went belly up and the market was dictated by the memes of Reddit and the Facebook posts shared by soccer moms it would be chaos.

Perhaps the saddest thing is that the leaked info on the hedge fund shorts was a one-in-a-million collision of good data and viral crowdsourcing, but far too many young investors will think its the result of pumping and dumping. Which means they'll be easily duped into the next "scheme" that gets some traction on social media and lose most of what they make this week.

Yeah... it’s basically tech bubble all over again where everyone is talking about their niece/nephew/etc making bank from crypto and the stock market.

However, 20 years after dotcom bubble now EVERYONE has easier access to trade stocks through free trading apps. So things could get a lot crazier this go around.

Well, I can't blame you--the details are thin so people are just guessing. Cohen's involvement would point to a focus on e-com to create a curated niche shopping site like he did with Chewy. There's been talk about taking advantage of their retail presence for local deliveries. Even things like doing a "Build a Bear" concept with gaming PCs.

The MS thing is interesting to me because it could lead to more things down the road. Maybe GameStop gets a shopping app on their interface or you can buy accessories/etc through the MS store on the Xbox and pickup at a GameStop.

Again, all guesses right now, but the belief is with Cohen there they have a lot better outlook for a pivot than they did before as a brick & mortar just waiting to die.

Also there’s still somewhat of a void in the games/toys market that hasn’t been filled since Toys R Us (and even Kay Bee a decade+ before that) shuttered other than big box like Walmart and Target and of course Amazon. Could see GME easily sliding in there for a slice of the games/toys pie.

Add KOSS to the list of meme stocks, this is crazy.
FB and AAPL solid earning beats, but options going to get crushed as usual.

Down -5% on paper, but comfortable with hedges in place.

So I guess AAL got some "coverage" today?! Reports tomorrow yet up 6% today and up more AH. This is getting insane.

For the record, I do not own just was browsing Fidelity and stumbled on it.

I think the young idiots who see a guy see his $700k stock portfolio jump $9million in one day are going to think it's easy to do.

Reality is, that is insanely lucky to see something of that nature jump in one day, two days. All these people jumping in right now on Gamestop, I hope they have the money to withstand this because a company that hasn't seen it's value over $20 a share for 5 years suddenly ballooning to over $300 in a couple days is insane. What's the true realistic price of this?

Ok, so I think I'm only half understanding everything that's going on. When the market opens tomorrow, does it make sense to jump on AMC and Nokia?

What is your goal?
How quickly can you sell?
How risk averse are you?
