2 cases is pushing 24 grand at these prices….pretty crazy thinking about it like that. Singles prices are high compared to 2020MM out of the gate, as they should be. How many individual cards have sold for over a box price though. I was looking at a tier 4 base spiderman true base and even that sold for around the price of a box but not more.

This is a kind of nerdy thing to point out, but the Galactus vs Silver Surfer battle spectrum artwork has an error. It depicts what look like bullet holes in Galactus' helmet, presumably from Silver Surfer's energy beams. But in the comics, Galactus' appearance is not actually real -- he is a being of pure energy that appears as a giant humanoid to certain observers. So his helmet couldn't actually be damaged in a battle:

People are really banking on singles prices staying strong. Seems like a lot of gold sigs in these boxes which gives me a red flag. They could print a ton of these, just because they say parallel doesn't mean they have to be printed in a 1:1 ratio.

Gambit should be #8, Archangel #51, Mojo #36, Dazzler #18, and then the ones those switched with will be off. There will probably be others. Apparently UD pulling a 93MM and went out of their way to have the triptych's not consecutive in the set...not sure why. May as well just have them consecutive on a 9-card page but I guess not.

This all adds up with the odds given on cardboard connection for golds. Tier 1, 1:2 Tier 2, 1:4 Tier 3, 1:12 Tier 4, 1:72 Prelim art 1:6 In 72 packs then, we should expect there to be 72/2+72/4+72/12+72/72 golds, or 61 golds. The single tier 4 gold you should expect would likely be the middle card since it's a hit. So about 60 of the 72 packs we should expect to have a gold as the last card in the pack, and that exactly adds up since Prelim art is 1:6, meaning the remaining 12 of those 72 packs will have the Prelim art as last card. So the odds look fine from physical observations of breaks. Using those odds, and the other listed odds, overall print run was roughly calculated above in a post and came out to be 13,800 or so boxes (and I want to add a major assumption that calculation contains: that the epack odds will be the same or nearly the same as physical odds. I understand that it is not always the case with epack with some sets. I expect it to be very similar in this set though).

There seem to be 1 maybe two Gold sigs in everypack which like I said before is gonna make it damn hard to build a base set (8-10 cards of base) it means you have to buy 10 boxes to MAYBE come close if you hit a Tier 4 in each box which won't happen so then you are spending 5-7K just to get the Tier 4 set. Boxes I have purchased will likely be to hold. I don't see the value in the break or recouping alot of the money of a box at $900. Only saw a few Thor, Venom, Spidey across all the box breaks I watched and one guy hit a number of various Spidey's in his box but that was the outlier. |

The people building sets, especially tier 4 base, will have to do it by cherry picking singles...cant imagine people will be trying to put that stuff together from boxes. I watched that video as well, it was from Spidey Hits, called marvel masterpieces box party, it's on youtube, must have been 40+ boxes opened on it. Btw that had one of the craziest, biggest coincidences I think I've ever seen. If you skip to 2:23:00 in the video, the person opening talks about a memorable moment where he opened a pack with 3 pmgs in it. In the very first pack out came 3 Blades. All the cards in the pack were the same Blade card (base, what if, gold foil). This is like astronomical odds territory for that entire scenario to happen, it was really funny. Edit:

I dont think anyone knows. 2020MM physical came out in Sept 2020 and epack not until Feb 2021.
Spidey Metal only took like a few weeks to hit epack. I believe Fleer Ultra Avengers took 4 months or so. I heard rumors maybe just a couple months for this....but no one really knows. Could be longer. Upper Deck still has Fleer Ultra Avengers on there, and you'd think they'd want to sell more of that off before putting this one on.

This set may be a back breaker for a number of collectors. 2018 I got enough good stuff and with cheap ebay purchase could put together 2 base sets. 2020 I could only muster 1 base set and 1 extra Tier 4. This year I would have to lay out from 6 - 15k to put together a set. It will not happen but I will see what lies ahead on epack. I think they keep alot of the better stuff for epack release instead of it going into the boxes. Just my hunch. Guesstamate for epack pack price $55 or better. AND THAT is a huge pill to swallow. |

Totally agree, I'm talking more to the folks who want to gamble on a box and think epack is going to be closer to MSRP.
