Sparty stinks again. If is going to be a struggle to get to six wins and bowl eligibility. They get UCLA at home who they should beat. UCLA long travel and leg down game. At Minnesota, Indiana, and Iowa. Should get one maybe? I don't trust this team to win even bad road games. That leaves Maryland at home to end the season. Very well could be the must win game mget to six.

All that said, I wonder who MSU is going to hire as the new.coach this off season.

Sparty fought back to tie it. That was one they needed. No gimmes left for them on their schedule. UCLA going to be riding high after taking down Frames Janklin and Co. Indiana is too good. Iowa actually has an offense it seems.

How much did that Big 12 final result of Cincy beating #14 undefeated Iowa State help Nebraska?

Marginal at best. Huskers have yet to prove that they are significantly better from last year to this point. Too many sacks, bad errors at inopportune times, lack of separation of receivers etc. The one area they have improved is special teams which was a deciding factor today.

Hairy, where have you been the last week or so?

First off, MSU is much improved from the dumpster fire that Smith inherited. Two is Nebraska beat Cincy who just beat #14 ISU. Cincy may just win the Big 12 and the Huskers only loss was to Michigan. MSU just played a solid team right to the end. That KR FL was HUGE. Sparty is in good hands with Smitty.

The Huskers trenches are far from what I grew up hearing and watching from the 70’s-early 00’s on both sides. The Huskers are 5-1 with a quarterback who most programs would love to have. The cupboard isn’t empty by any means.

They got more speed on the edges which is great. They completely suck on both lines. You are not going to win in the Big Ten that way. You are right, probably jumping the gun a bit. Next year should be the jump year for his recruits. Of course, college football is pay to play so it really comes down to how serious MSU wants to get.

Lots of Wiscy fans calling for Fickell's head after that confusing sequence in which they let the clock run without using any of their last 3 timeouts.

Still think Smith is gone at the end of the year. Team is embarrassing today. Lifeless, guys open on defense all over, giving up fake punts, etc. MSU is staring 0-5 in the big ten. They lose at Minnesota in three weeks, that will balloon to 0-7. I think Smith needs to beat Michigan to save his job.

Rough season for Sparty. But they will play Michigan tough - they nearly always do. Can't overlook them.

Did they ever find Mel Tucker, btw??

Huskers squeak by Maryland. They seem to be able to win some close games this year thus far which is a change. Another road game at Minnesota and home against Northwestern upcoming. These are the type of games they would find a way to lose in past years. So we’ll see what is to come.

Malik Washington looks to have a chance to be a pro. Can really sling the ball around for a freshman.

Less than $80/alumni, people have been trying to start that giving for a couple of weeks. I’m sure some would give a lot more to get him out.

Wisconsin and MSU fans hoping that their ADs follow PSU's example.
