Completely foolish break, only someone easily manipulated by fragmenting a team break or can't do math would buy into this product, as you'd need to spend ~$6,000 to mathematically average 1 of Kurtz, Wood OR Sasaki if you were opening boxes at MSRP.

Your math assumes that those 3 are equally distributed. Lord only knows if that’s the case. For all we know, even though base are numbered to 199 in the past, they could’ve signed just half or Topps only put half in the product.

That's one thing I've always wondered.

• How much does each player get per year for signing cards?
  How many autos does each player sign? Like how many Ohtani autos come out each year?
  How long does it take for him to do that and what's the logistics? Topps guy shows up at Dodger stadium one day?

100% have to buy this - I've paid 200 to be a member and have only been ripped off once via the Star wars release so far (skipped all others). Besides the only reason I even bought the 582 was to get the baseball stuff...........now let me go ponder joining Cactus Jack EQL.......

It depends on the player. Some guys on the checklist: not much. Other guys like Ohtani, Trout and Wood will be more.

I’m actually going to give them some props for this: they shrunk the checklist from series 1 and 2 to what appears to be the chrome checklist. There’s “only” 300 cards, so you’ll have a much better chance at the top players as opposed to when it was a 700 card checklist.

What this does for pop count though is a different story. I wonder if they cut down on the number of boxes or if they just increased the number of base autos? Anybody know?

Has Topps shrunk the amount of product produced for a single release since 2000?
