Well, stating the obvious

BABIP of .214 despite being 15th in hard contact means the average is on its way up too

Health is always the only concern. If he's finally healthy, we're looking at a .290/100/40/100 season ... and 50 HR is not out of the question.

I love all people in this hobby: those that are in this for the money / flipping only, collecting only, investing, or a hybrid. As long as they have respect for the hobby and others and act ethically. This forum does a good job of bringing everyone together. Hope more people post Yordan cards, even if a 5 dollar purchase we all love to see it.

I always like Sterling even though it seems to be the red-headed stepchild in the hobby. Great cards there.

I remember getting hyped up buying 30 count lots of his Topps flagship rookie.

Man, before I knew how overproduced stuff would be. There are 12,000+ PSA 10's already lol

Haha. I did that with 2019 Bowman Chrome Prospects before I knew they aren't considered "rookie cards". Have to have at least 75 -100 of them in a box. At least maybe the serial numbered ones will go up now...

A lot of people tried warning that the only way those become worth anything is if Yordan ascends to a Soto-level threat. So maybe you were right!

i'm a tad late to this party, but yeah, i saw that too. it was painful to watch. more painful for Yordan though, admiring his "blast" that turned out to be the longest single i've ever seen. like you said... bet he doesn't do it again.

Yordan is still fairly undervalued right now. I’m not complaining though. It’s just weird to see the hit he takes for being primarily a DH. It’s dumb.

I found it interesting that
Vladdy has 79 homeruns in 1405 at bats
Yordan has 72 homeruns in 958 at bats
If yordan ended the season at 50 percent of vladdy prices you're talking gigantic upside from current prices

I think it’s more than that. I also think he’s an Astro and although he wasn’t a member of that team in 2017, many still see him as a part of a cheating franchise who stole the WS.

Also think him playing in just 2 games in his second season after that monstrous half in 2019 has hurt as well. Not to mention the super high amounts of his base cards that were graded. Big season here would certainly help.
