Wondering how far down the Russian rabbit hole Trump has to be before the almost 3x lead he has in this poll starts to look terrifying to some of you...

I just do not see how Trump turns this around. Losing way too many battleground races at this point. I am not sure how much longer the RNC will funnel money his way. One more major misstep and I think they pull the plug and start trying to save as many Congressional spots as possible.

Can someone explain to me what's happening in Milwaukee right now. My understanding is that a black police officer shot a black suspect, and the city is rioting. I've seen people yelling to burn the white businesses down ... I'm not following.

Was there something else that happened recently? Any specific event that brought this on or is this simply a chance to riot ... no real straw that broke the camels back?

You can discuss this in the other thread.

I see it, but this feels very politically driven and it seemed appropriate to keep it in this thread. Not taking my chances elsewhere!

I don't think it's politically driven. The riot or whatever you want to call it in this case was completely uncalled for. Honestly I think it's all just a powder keg and people heard "black kid shot and killed by police"

The kid was armed, has an insane criminal record and the cop who shot him was black. The hashtag #Milwaukee pretty much died when that info was released.

I'm on the opposite end. Have voted Republican the last 4 presidential elections but I'm going to take my chances voting for Hillary. If elected I feel Trump is just going to make things much more dangerous to U.S. lives with his temper and his ego destroying foreign relations that until that point were good

I live in a Milwaukee suburb, and another kid Dontre Hamilton was killed by a cop a few months ago(and his mom got to speak at the DNC), and since Milwaukee is probably the most segregated city in the US the poop if finally hitting the fan. Add to that, our Governor Scott Walker is one of the biggest divisive personalities in our state, Mr. 'Divide And Conquer' could care less about the lower-middle class and all of the inner city people in Wisconsin. He only takes care of those who donated to his campaign, or his recall defense fund.

Is this the guy who fought with the cop and hit the cop with his own night stick?

This is pretty timely, and funny. I'm bidding on some stuff in an auction right now and they have this little beauty for sale....signed by Bill and Hill. It's part of their legal bill for their defense fund set up to help pay for legal fees associated with Whitewater, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Bill's impeachment, and now illegal fundraising issues. Jeezus what a pair of creeps.

Has been discussed before that Liberal policies have destroyed the inner cities of America. Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Philadelphia and on and on. It simply doesn't work. They continue to keep their residents in poverty while tricking them into believing handouts are their only route to existence. Instead of raising them up, the drive them down. Its insane how backwards it is and what a true mind trick they play on low income individuals.

Only the debates will matter. The polls and media coverage now means very little. If he wins the first debate, sky's the limit.

While Republican policies have communities thriving?

Both parties have done a really crap job of serving the people. Nothing happens when you don't compromise and work together.

Considering Scott Walker is the Governor and Tom Barrett is the Mayor of Milwaukee I'm pretty sure its Tom Barrett job to make sure the city of Milwaukee is safe. I grew up in Appleton and the last time I checked mayor Tim Hanna has kept the City of Appleton safe for the last 20+ years. Over the last 20 years the city has become more and more diverse. Milwaukee has been a boiling pot for years, long before Walker got into office. Milwaukee needs a strong leader and Barrett isn't fitting the bill anymore. I really wish a guy like Sheriff David Clark could take his job because he would do amazing things for this city.

This is correct. Democrat cities aren't exactly bastions of income equality...
