It's not apples to apples, Yordan is about two years older than Vlad Jr. Vlad Jr played 180 games in the majors while Yordan was still in the minors. That age difference and Yordan having to be a DH most of the time aren't going away.

That said - Yordan will go up if he keeps playing like this, for sure, and he's going to be a good candidate to win non-Angel AL MVP in that case.

Yordan has played 12 of his 28 games in LF. Michael Brantley is the only reason he isn’t out there those other 16. It will be interesting to see what percentage he plays in LF when the season is done. Stats are better when he plays the field, too. Something he has been telling management for the last year or two.

I think this is by far the biggest driver. Missing an entire season with major surgery on both knees destroyed all the hype he had, and rightfully so. While very good, last season wasn't great enough to significantly move the needle. If he continues hitting like this, age/team/position will have little effect.

What? They were called up about the same time in 2019. Reason Vlad Jr has more games mainly because Yordan missed all of 2020.

Also, are the 2020 Bowman Best auto's worth looking into at all you think or just look at 1st Bowman Chrome/Topps Chrome?

Talking about by age.

Best are fine if you like them and get them at Best prices. Just don't overpay. Same with Sterling.

THe main factors in price difference between Yordan and Vlad;

1) Vlad had a huge year last year and is way ahead in HOF track. If Yordan keeps it up and pounds him this year their prices will converge. This is the main drive or me investing in Yordan's cards.

2) Age-Vlad is two years younger. That makes a difference even with equal production.

3) Team-Toronto is a better for the hobby than Houston. I may even be underestimating Toronto.

4) Yordan has yet to go make an all star game and hasn't won any hardware since his ROY. That should change this year.

5) The missing 2020 hurts Yordan without a doubt. His cards were down to flat in a year where everybody was exploding. Even a normalish Yordan year (call it .280/38/110) and his prices are twice what they are now.

Factoring in age and team the expectation would be Vlad at 150% to 200% of Yordan. Coming into the year that was more like 700% to 800%. One thing that throws this off is the money flows to the top at an exponential rate. That rate is pretty predictable in the middle and near the top, but at the tippy-top it is unpredictable. Still, I expect quite a bit of convergence if they produce similarly this year.

ALCS MVP helped but his World Series sucked

I don't necessarily buy the age argument because Judge was 25 when he burst onto the scene. I get the Yankees multiplier but he still had an old debut.

Judge would have been even more expensive had he burst on to the scene at 22.

Disappointed in this series. Was hoping for huge fireworks from my 2 PC guys.

More homers than now but those years in the minors helped him to what he is now.

It is ironic Judge seems to get a pass when it comes to being injury prone. Must be the same water bottle as Stanton.

Yeah, everybody has their own development path.

My main point is that age (time) is a big factor in the price of a card. It doesn't mean older players can't go up in price or even reach elite status. It just means if two players have the same talent on the same team, the younger player is going to cost more.

So, Eovaldi has now given up 5 homers in the inning, as well as a laser single that Yordan hit off the Monster.

1) What’s the record for most homers allowed in an inning?

and

2) Is Alex Cora doing his old club a solid, leaving Eovaldi out there like that?

All right! Cycle time.
Alex is doing me a solid right now.

Doesn't that tie the half inning record? Nationals did it years ago.
