Milwaukee gets one more year with Giannis.

Better make it worthwhile

In the short term some of the more populous stuff would see a dip.

But in the long run LeBron is as safe as anything. Even more so is his very rare stuff. The market isn't about to get flooded with 2012 Prizm Golds or 2015 Galactics if he loses.

Same goes for Giannis, to a degree. Nobody is going to firesale a NT RPA.

Plow through it? The past 2 years he’s ran as a fast as he can at the wall and he’s been knocked out. He’s saying what sounds good but he hasn’t shown he can back it up.

I have many eggs in many baskets. I'm least concerned about the one with a 25 y/o that has accomplished something only Olajuwon and Jordan have succeeded at doing in the entire history of the league.

Why does everyone in this thread use this stupid euphemism. So what if some people missed the boat, everyone is entitled to their opinion and instead of being passive aggressive why not try to have a constructive conversation using arguments. Try this one as an example: Giannis had championships priced in and the world is doubting his ability to ever get to the finals, until he does make a run to the finals or goes to a large market team his prices won't touch the highs of August 2020...now prove me wrong using facts and logic. Can't say I missed the boat because you go back a couple hundred pages and there I am taking about buying a 2013 prizm silver for $1700 and everyone freaked out and told me I'm an idiot.

This was the CLASSIC NBA team protecting its most valuable--perhaps the most valuable asset in the NBA-- mindset..just waiting to deal him.

"Oh shhhite.. we are down 3-0... G, how do you feel?"

"Well my ankle just tinged a ...."

"You are getting an MRI, play the first 18 minutes PLEASE."

"Okay, but I really feel fi.."

--Giannis Agent--
"Shut your mouth, as far as anyone is concerned, you've been hobbled by this injury all year and all postseason but have sacrificed your own health for your squad."

"I don't feel all that bad.."

"You are down 3-1, you have no chance to win this, there is no incentive to play."

"Oh, that makes a ton of sense."

This is a broken record in the NBA when teams face seemingly insurmountable odds, the franchise players bow out and the team sells the fake injury

The facts and logic are pretty simple. Two time MVP, who has accomplished a feat that only Olajuwon and Jordan have in the entire history of the NBA. The two of then won a total of 8 championships. Speaking of those, I believe Jordan won his first title at 28 and Olajuwon at 31. Looking at that comparison and claiming that Giannis will be lucky to one chip reeks of POMO and an intentional turning of a blind eye to what players of Giannis' caliber can accomplish, given the right team.

I don't recall anyone saying you missed the boat. Nice flex though.

I agree. If they win, which I hope as a Lakers fan and believe they will, they will continue to rise.

Yeah, that's how I see it and it wouldn't be a massive dip like some of Giannis' stuff is currently doing.

I'm a little more bearish on Giannis but we shall see if he can add a reliable jumper or post game.

I plan to pick up one nice giannis card this off season.... the farther they fall the better for the vultures like me just looking to get (back) in cheap... Once upon a time prizm boxes sat on blowout for 50 a box 600 a case... and I had a pretty impressive giannis collection.

Made out well... but if I had kept everything and sold during the peaks I may have touched a quarter mill.

Will most likely get a dime prizm.

I would guess there are hundreds of people plotting to pick giannis up cheap. Maybe thousands.

Short off-season. I wish I am able to get Jan/Feb pricing in this "dip" that is coming, sadly I won't. Even BO had a 2013-14 9.5 Crusade Gold for what $4k? I'd jump at that opportunity now. I doubt I will be able to buy any of his rare (low #ed rookie) stuff at any discount going forward, forget the off-season.

Seems like you are missing the point here

He is staying in Milwaukee. He is a loyal guy. Is he too loyal to a fault? In other words will he never reach the ultimate goal of a championship(s) in Milwaukee? That remains to be seen. Dirk treaded water in Dallas for 12 years before he made it happen.

Still not sold he's interested in staying in MKE. He wants to win and MKE has shown they can't put good talent around him to win. They have overpaid for average to below average talent around him. Other teams can have 2 superstars. MKE we have overpaid to have Chris Middleton. Only way I think MKE keeps Giannis is if they find a way to go out and trade for a legit 2nd star to be next to him. I was thinking that Bucks get to finals this year Giannis was a lock to resign now being bounced and not even getting to the ECF I am leaning the other way now and I think he won't resign in MKE.

I didn't say he wouldn't win a championship, I said his prices aren't going to reach the highs of August 2020 until he does. I don't care if he wins 1 championship or 5, collectors and fans demand it in order to be considered one of the greats and in order to justify his prices, otherwise he's just another Harden, Westbrook, Nash, Barkley, Malone, AI or Rose.

Edit: 5/7 MVP winners above got to the finals and didn't win, so maybe getting to the finals isn't enough, Giannis has to win a chip.
