Their verification process has been closed forever! I check this on a bi-weekly basis, because yes, that little blue checkmark is to twitter what the RC logo is to Topps.

Ive sold 24 cards so far for $85.13. Highest sold card went for $24.75, lowest sold went for $0.33 But it is definitely an addicting site and way to move cards! Attempting my hand at the flipping aspect as well, which is addicting.

Is anyone else showing a 3% Final Sale Fee when setting up their summer sale?

Yeah it says it on the sales page. Kind of annoying. The spring sale did not have the 3% fee.

If you do basic you'll get a separate "submission" of your damaged cards. If you do the premium theyll put condition notes on them. Plus, I believe, you "processing complete" email supposedly has it.

I'd rather have it go towards speeding up their servers

It was a card I purchased and just got in the mail. It looks like it might have happened during the sleeving process, unfortunately. But, to their credit, they refunded me in full right away after messaging them.

Kind of annoying. The spring sale did not have the 3% fee.

The Autumn Sales Event (November 6-17, 2017) did this. It seems like a good way to experiment with different fee structures. I thought that sale went really well.

While they're experimenting with fee structures, maybe they could try a special 1-day 10% cash-out fee and see what happens.

I run sales all the time and the $3.00 fee is like whatever to me. The 3% really adds up. During the autumn sale there were some amazing deals.

3% final value fee means I will be at 25% off, not 30% I'd say... At least to start

Come use our "free sale." Just pay us a commission when it is done. Talk about poor advertisement as there are still fees, lol.

Agreed, this is not free and should not be advertised as such

So basically you'll save $15 if you have a sale.

That'll never happen - they'd be bankrupt before the day was over. Then all the doomsday scenarios would start coming into play...

As always we paint it both ways. Doomsday threads saying COMC could be destitute and where will that leave us and meanwhile threads saying they are making cash hand over fist with these clever ploys. So which is it? My take is this...we are partners with them. We do in fact need them to be profitable too. They have done both types of sales before. They know darn well why and how they choose a certain type. Now where I agree with everyone is that they shouldn't frame it as free. It isn't. But it is cheap and beneficial and for certain those with smaller ports it is a nice sweetener! In pure terms it is $15 yeah but if it enables you to sell $1500 meanwhile then go baby! The last sale moved a lot of cards for us all I think. Let's go get some!

Especially the mud volcano eruption...all the money COMC has been collecting all these years from sales that was supposed to go towards advertising and marketing has actually gone towards a series of explosive devices planted at the base of Mt. Rainier, programmed to explode and cause a lahar that will cover the COMC offices in an avalanche of mud and rock...

Such an action would enable COMC to avoid shipping all those Ziggy Plaffy RC's taking up half the warehouse back to their owners, as well as allow Upper Management to fake their own deaths and escape with all our store credit to eastern Washington, where they'll live like kings...kings, I say.

If you'll excuse me, I have to answer the door - that'll be COMC's pack of lawyers delivering another C&E letter. I shouldn't keep them waiting.

To me, the 3% isn't a big deal. Just work in into your sale.

I'm not sure why. eBay is constantly enticing sellers with thousands of "free listings" and then charging them 10% Final Value Fees.

As others have mentioned, if someone is really irked by the 3% FVF, they can reduce the sale amount by 5% or so and call it a day. Unless they're a Joel-like seller whose Black Friday Blowout Extravaganza is a 5% discount, they can still participate in the sale just fine.

It's absolutely a free sale if you don't sell anything.
