To your second question, it is what we do for the rich and corporations when we constantly cut their taxes. We've been doing that for the last 40 years+, and don't give me the trickle down garbage.

To the second part, trump and the republicans have said we need to sacrifice some lives to reopen. Trump can be one of those sacrifices for all I care.

Quotes please? I am pretty sure any democratic plan includes much more robust stimulus to individuals and small businesses.

But hey, the important thing is a billionaire like Donald Trump pays 750 dollars a year in income taxes, or none at all! THe important thing is that taxes on the richest 1-2% are slashed. The important thing is that the corporate tax is slashed by 25%.

You say where does the money come from, and it is very clear where it should come from. Our greatest economies, in the 50's and 60's also had the highest taxes on the rich as well, and it encouraged more money to be funnelled to the middle class.

I'm not advocating a top tax bracket of 91%, but I am certainly saying it should be significantly higher than 37%.

I don't care about someone's freaking taxes. You're rambling. I dont want a damn stimulus. I want to freaking work so I can take care of my damn family. Not be told I can't work so I can maybe save grandma because she may need to get groceries and I may give her COVID because we both touched the damn handle to get a damn jug of milk.

Lockdowns kill people. COVID kills people. COVID kills people during lockdowns too. That's the point. Everyone is mad that Republicans want to open up when it's the damn Democrats that killed all the grandmas!

Again, you won't address the fundamental issue, and that the reason we have no money is decades of redistributing wealth, and I'm not talking about the redistribution of wealth that the right loves to talk about...I am talking about the rape of the middle class and transfer of wealth to the rich that Ronald Reagan accelerated.

So again, you say there isn't enough money....there is, but for some reason folks like yourself love to stand up for the very rich. Or, and try to follow me here, we could be intelligent about it. Have a national plan, wear masks, limit gatherings, instead of wanting to go full bore. There are certain things that are important to move forward with.

Also, I find so many of the arguments to reopen disingenuous. If you are struggling, it sucks, and I have a huge amount of empathy, but to be frank a majority of the people I hear arguing to reopen are not struggling at all. They are people that want to go to a restaurant, a movie, a vacation, or in your case a Nascar race which when people say stuff like that it really, to me, invalidates most of their argument.

Yes, there are a bunch of small business owners hurting, but the largest majority of people hurting are service industry employees who were already likely in poor condition financially in the first place. Restaurant workers, hotel workers, and on top of that other service workers, say at Walmart, who are asked on the frontline are being asked to do this for less than a living wage.

I am not rambling. COVID has shown how fundamentally flawed our financial system is. A huge amount of people in this country are one disaster away from financial ruin, and it is not sustainable. There are very few viable social safety nets, and the very rich and corporations have accumulated more and more wealth at the expense of 95% of us.

COVID is the straw that broke the Camel's back. It is exposing all the cracks in the American Dream/Promise that for a long time has been a myth.

If you can't understand how the two are connected, and why our financial system is the way it is exactly because of it, I can't help you.

To the rest of it, I work for a company that makes 6 billion dollars a year and is one of the largest financial institutions in the US. They brag and brag and brag about their quarterly revenue, stock dividends, etc.

Meanwhile, average yearly raises for exceeding expectations in a job role is 1-2%. If you get a promotion, even a large one, they cap any raise you can get at 10% and it is usually more in the 3-5% range and this sort of thing is typical across most large corporations and not unique.

The "pull yourself up" by your bootstraps crap is a myth.
