Do you want a full breakdown of the post that I gave that reaction to? You saying Penn State was closer to beating Ohio State than Ohio State was to beating Oregon.


Situation A:

~6 minutes remain, Team A is down 7 points. 1st & Goal. Result is turnover on downs and never got ball back

Situation B:

~7 seconds remain, Team A down 1 point and a play away from field goal range. Result is gain of yardage but time runs out.


You're really gonna argue that Situation A was closer to winning the game?

That would be a fun one to run through a computer. I think it’s pretty close, even if in Situation A you’re only trying to tie the game. In Situation B you screw up one play you’re toast. And then you’ve still got to make the FG.

I guess that means they guy playing now was already promised the starting gig next year. Beck wasn't very good this year. He went from the number one QB prospect to probably not even being in the 1st round. I haven't really looked, but isn't next year's QB class supposed to be a lot better? There really isn't any generational or must have QBs coming out this year. Even if Beck is like the 4th best QB, he may get over drafted.
