Everything is down. Prospect hype and hot Rookie starts make some cards rise in the short term but literally most modern is down. Such are the ebbs and flows of the economy. Eventually the cream of the crop will recover as will the economy.

The lineup is just so good. As soon a somebody cools off 2 more people get red hot.

No reason to buy update PSA 10s. People have already parlayed that money 3x-4x-10x by now. They've moved into better Acuna cards.

you'd think with the MVP-type season Acuna is putting up, that his cards would be going up, but they aren't. they are pretty much plateaued right now, it's crazy.

I would be concerned he's getting drowned out in MLB media by Carroll and Elly since they are new and shiny.

I saw the interview with Joey Votto from the past weekend series in Cincy where he said Ronald was his favorite player to watch and look for highlights each night. I thought that was immense praise coming from a vet like him. Reminds me of the article on ESPN where his minor league coach spent the past offseason getting him retooled and conditioned to be himself again but more mature pro. That coach had a quote telling Ronald to be the best you need to earn the respect from your peers. Votto's words are 1 example of that. He's becoming a pro's pro lol But will it be a bit overlooked with the new guys and of course Ohtani's season? Hope not, but today's media coverage gets wonky at times.

Acuna's prices remind me of Rafael Devers, his cards are insanely underpriced for the machine that he is, and in Boston too.

I think it's hilarious Elly De La Cruz cards are somewhat outselling or on par with Acuna stuff.

2022 Bowman Chrome Elly PSA 10's are basically $150-$250

Acuna is barely getting $150 for his 2017, heck a lot going for $120ish range

Just remember, with 99% of players losing resale value currently a holding pattern on Ron’s price essentially mean they’re hot.
More importantly with Elly and Carroll taking attention and $ out of the market it gives Ron’s fans/collectors/investors an extended opportunity to buy moar if inclined.
It’s like flushing a 260 yard drive into a 30MPH headwind. Yeah, it didn’t go 300 but you’re still 50 yards past everyone else in your group.
