Best case scenario I will spend countless hours to break even. At this point I can't afford to keep dumping $500-$1500 into the money pit every week. The cards worth $20-30 you won't see for months. Go figure during this time I spent thousands on Mosaic blasters and hangers. The value of those went up more in 4-6 weeks than the Topps Project cards I have will for years.

I love the Griffey Saladeen, Jeter Saladeen, and Trout JK5. Griffey was the first card I almost bought. Had these come out when I was collecting Griffey I'd have probably bought at least 20. But there are a ton of sweet cards from the set.

Leaving making money at the door, I'd love to be able to go back and get 1 of each card for the give or take $7k cost. But that will never happen now and I'm stuck with a ton of the junk.

At the end of the day, the "panic" around todays PRs is a little overblown.

I would rather have PRs in 2-3K range with less people buying multiples, than PRs in the 4-5k range with people buying 10-50 packs. Overly inflating poor cards is worse than allowing natural demand drive supply. Both cards are weak. Cal Ripken is colorful but the face is simple awful (no matter how you cut it) and the Rickey Henderson looks like Siff got to about Phase 2 out of 5 of his process and just sent the card to Topps.

I dont think we will know the true value of any of these cards until the clock his 1pm on #400 and people then can see the entire landscape and determine what they want to PC/Trade/Sell.

Not everyone can hit a home run like Wheeler did.
I just think it could be much worse. You still have some nice low PR cards I'm sure.

I'm only giving away the Golds and Autos that are directly related to the cards purchased. So if I get a Trout auto, that auto will be randomed among all those that bought that specific Trout base card from me through my site and not ebay.

Same with the Gold 1/1s.

If I get a bonus card, the odds of someone that bought through me of getting one at that time is pretty good.

Got Gooden Grotesk in the mail and the centering is grotesque... Seriously, its like 80/20 which is especially annoying since his cards are designed to be symmetric. On the plus side, my Saladeen Ryan looks pretty good, but seriously topps needs to let the 90yr old man that cuts the cards retire already and use modern printing methods, its beyond pathetic that they can't center.
