I bought a blaster out of pure morbid curiosity. Let’s put aside the fact that I pulled absolutely nothing of value. If I had, the cards were consistently OC, and bowed like they’d been wrapped around an Easter egg. One and done for me until these inevitably go on clearance. Even then I’m not sure.

This is how I read it. The Extended 5 cards are not SP's but the parallels are.

Pretty sure by "parallels" that Topps is simply referring to the 5 extended base SPs themselves. There are no true "parallels" of those 5 extended base SPs. It's just those 5 cards randomly inserted into silver packs (along with other cards). That would be awesome if there were parallels of those SPs!

Tried to catch up on the 83 pages of silver pack talk and these are my main takeaways:
-Nobody cares how “you” interpret the Topps statement. It’s as clear as mud, but even if it made perfect sense, they enjoy calling audibles all the time.
-Nobody knows which SKUs will receive what number of silver packs (beyond 1 per hobby box).
-Nobody knows if the 2 cards in each pack are only SP’s or comprised of other cards.
-Nobody knows if the SP’s have actual parallels.
-Nobody knows any print runs or how many packs will be made.
-Nobody knows any odds.

Anything else beyond this is purely conjecture and speculation. Anybody who claims to know these answers is either stupid or a liar, possibly both. Topps themselves may not even know the full plan at this time, which wouldn’t surprise me seeing the position they got themselves into.

Did I miss anything?

Agreed.

This discussion is moot until we can confirm that topps actually remembers to insert these sp rookies into the silver packs.

It would fall in line with this complete and total disaster if topps forgets to insert them for a second time. LOL.

Same here..hell..they are still trying to sell series 1 blasters for $60 a pop..($50 with their $10 off blaster sale!)

I'm thinking it'd be really nice for Fanatics/Topps/Panini/UD/etc to forbid hobby dealers from selling retail formats in store or else lose their rights
