Love me some pitchers… Gray was residual from chasing India in breaks and at one point his cards may have been higher than the India’s I had acquired… Don’t have any pics but I’m still holding some nice color of mcclanahhan, baz and Grayson rodriguez as well waiting. I had high hopes for Ranger Suarez last year after his previous season but he had a bit of a rough go… Hoping this year he returns to his old form.

Nice stash! Logan Gilbert is name that doesn’t get talked about enough. He’s a nice late round fantasy add.

Haha! I guess there aren't many directions you can take that joke so you have to go all the way back to 1960s tv shows for a reference.

I had no idea this set existed. I just researched a little: one of the first-ever topps releases, and the first-ever Topps release to offer baseball cards. (It’s a multi-sport release)

Very cool.

Just got notice my Hunter Greene Topps Chrome auto redemption is shipping. I also picked up the rest of the Holiday variations to complete the rainbow to go with the 1/1 gold metallic snowflake. I'll post pics when they get here.

I just checked, and my redemptions are still pending. (One Chrome and two Stadiums.)

I actually had two red Holidays on my watchlist when we struck the deal for the 1/1. Glad you finished the job!

All I’m on the hook for is a $30 Vintage Stock #/99… and I still feel the hurt over it! Haha

Exact same here, no idea it existed til I found it while paging through the Standard Catalog. First ever Topps baseball cards, just had to pick one up! Too cool not to. Doesn't break the bank either, plenty of copies available in the sub-$200 range

Ha, no doubt! I'm coming at it from the perspective of a fan of a team who used Yusei Kikuchi as a starter last year instead of the Nate we were promised.

I’m a fan of the Trevor Rogers Stadium club rookie auto. Acuña in the foreground is pretty cool. I just wish his auto was neater and stayed below Acuña’s number and name.

I’m a fan of that card myself! (Auto, refractor, and orange refractor #/25 pictured.)

Confession time: I saw the Ranger Suarez cards and thought to myself, “Huh, that might not be a bad idea…” And then I researched what’s out there on him.

The downside: He’s a No. 4 on a team with two big-namers in Nola and Wheeler.

The upside: He barely has any rookies. It’s basically flagship and Sapphire. And a Heritage with a roommate. So there’d be a scarcity booster to a Suarez rush.

Pie in Sky: He’s 27 and hasn’t pitched all that much, but he has a career 3.12 ERA and is around the same age as deGrom when he took off.

That Ryan is one of my favorite ‘70s cards. It’s right up with the ‘72 Clemente.

I have a thrashed ‘71 from childhood that is core to my collection.

I posted the sapphires and father's day previously, here's a few more.

Speaking of Miami Cubans... not much Nestor in this thread. Here's the hero of Hialeah. I have a few more I need to get photos of:

Just comparing quickly to similar aged hitters from the same RC class
What would $40 in Bo Bichette or LouBob get you? A TC xfractor?

You guys are right on here – the only BCA Blue Wave I may ever own is the Griffin Canning I picked up for $10 (not the nachos bellgrande standard, but still).

It’s tough being an Angels fan in the modern hobby as the best cards are easily a couple grand before they see the light of day. I don’t have a Trout (or Ohtani) auto because I would pay for a signed jersey before spending a grand on a card. When a new checklist comes out, I go straight to Reid Detmers and any Halo legends (DiSarcina, Salmon, Erstad, Anderson) as these are plausible to add to the PC.

People are stubbornly hiding the Sandoval (and some Detmers) RCs at this time.

PSA (not the grading company) if you are reading this, DO NOT BUY Sam Bachmann.

2021 he started the season as closer and was pretty dominate… Injuries forced him to move to relief and ended the year in starting rotation…. Went 8-5 with 1.36 ERA and 4 saves…

Sorry, dude. But my childhood buddy pitched at Miami of Ohio, so I feel drawn to Bachmann cards.

Fun fact: that buddy of mine played his junior college ball for Larry Lee, father of top Twins prospect Brooks Lee.

That's a cool reason; certainly hope the velo drop towards the end of last season isn't serious, but there were murmurs of elbow pain.

A nice TJ break would have his cards affordable.
