You have to memorize where the buttons are for "checkout" and "pay" - as soon as the next page pops up just blindly click. Works for me on occasion.

Gotta create FOMO - harder it is to obtain, more they can jack the price.

If it went by the old rules of product being available on all retailers sites, shops, etc at once on release day, then there is no way people would be paying 300+ a box for this.

You have to be right on it and have everything saved. It's probably going to be the same as before with boxes versus cases. Meaning, if you go for boxes first you have a great chance. I can't imagine anyone that had the right things saved and added only boxes right away didn't get an order. Topps new checkout method is very fast.

It's because of The Rock autos, the product is for some reason limited for hobby and not mass produced, and to a lesser extent on card autos.

I doubt Topps is running EQL and doing limited drops on fanatics.com just because of Rock autos. They are doing it to make the product appear more limited.

I think it's dependent on the format. Based on the checklist and odds, Hobby boxes/cases are limited.

I didn't look at breakers delight but there will definitely be a lot of retail printed and the overall quantity will not look limited but the hobby format is.

Completely agree.

But the original question I responded to that has been lost in quotation is why Topps didn't just release all the hobby product at once, and is instead spacing it out over a number of drops.

Only reason that makes sense is to create more perceived scarcity.

not overly excited about this release so far. some are nice but half the insert sets are kinda ugly or just goofy looking to me and the 27 or so refractor variants is meh to me and i though 22 at panini was too much. super lazy with some of the pics too like raquel being 24 prizm,rhea being 23 prizm,and hbk padigm same as a 14? topps with all just being slightly zoomed in or out.
the redemptions are weird too with the likes of cody,drew,finn,and hbk as some...its not like they havent been at every single show the last year. i can see charlotte and alexa cause they havent.

also the first day/week ebay buyers make me laugh getting 20$ inserts that will be 2-3$ in 2 weeks or 50$ autos that will be 10-15$.
