Well, this is a trading card forum, so a lot of people use these books to cut out the signature and turn it into a custom trading card. No one says you have to keep or read the book.

exactly, or cut them out for PSA DNA authentication like I did with the 3 Jamie Lee Curtis kids books

its much better re-sale when encased cut compared to a signed book. The Curtis by itself sells for about $30 while PSA DNA Curtis cut auto can sell between $100-200 range

It looks like the $49.99 version comes with JSA authentication. I don't think the $30 version had this authentication.

Interesting that Premier seems to be doing JSA for some of their books now. I wonder if this is because of all the returns they've gotten in the past due to auto-pens and such?

I have no problem paying extra for JSA authentication via Premier! I wish they offered this on most of their signed books.

I watched the Live virtual discussion with Keanu and China by Randomhouse which just finished and it was a bit weird, Keanu really struggled to answer any questions - even generic things like what is he favourite book/moment, which character does he relate to etc.. China was really good and kept the discussion and conversation going, which wasn't easy at some points.

Regardless, the book sounds really interesting, looking forward to reading it.
