We’ve seen this show before they will get close enough to trot out Judge as the tying run only to fall just short.

Yep they sure did or most notably Cole take away the horrible 1st and they outscored them 3-1. Hicks fittingly ended it with a foul out pop up to the second baseman 0-26 please Boone I am begging take him out of the lineup.

This is the pitching staff I expected we had in the beginning of the year when we were told they were ranked the best.

Cole sucks! He's nothing without being an Astros cheater.

As it turned out it was probably better off unless he had a 3 home run game up his sleeve.

As far as I am concerned his reputation is destroyed until he has a string of good outings without any help from a substance. I will always attribute his good pitching was due to cheating. Once he was found guilty the Yankees should have been able to void his contract, not pitching the same due to injury is one thing but not pitching the same because you were cheating is completely different.

I'm starting to believe that he is a big over-thinker. All we ever hear about his knowledge and his lengthy/intense conversations with whoever his personal catcher is at the time.

The guy throws upper-90s with ease with up to 3 other great pitches, yet he gets beat when he throws the wrong pitch in the wrong spot at the wrong time constantly. I'm not sure anymore who is calling the pitches but if it's been Cole the last couple of years, maybe it's time to give someone else a shot.

Still a great pitcher and all that but there's still a tier above him with guys like Max, Verlander, and deGrom that have the stuff and know how to utilize it day in and day out, year after year.

Cole is all over the place. He has 5 games where he has given up 5+ runs (including 2 in a row now) and 5 games where he has given up 0 runs. He is so inconsistent.

Yep I agree with the over thinking. I have been calling him a headcase for most of the year, it’s not like he’s a rookie trying to learn this is stuff he should be able to do in his sleep. If he had never used the spider tack he would’ve still been a good pitcher but I think in his head he feels it gave him the added advantage he thought he needed.

And I may be wrong but I still think the Astros are cheating right now. I have no proof but the eye test is leading me to think that way.

Amazing that the Red Sox can DFA Jackie Bradley Jr. who had a better batting average than Gallo, but we probably wouldn't have done that to Gallo if the suckers, I mean Dodgers, hadn't taken him off our hands.

The Phillies released Sir Didi. Maybe we can pick him up for infield help.

The dodgers are hardly suckers best record in baseball and enough pitching to choke on, they can afford Gallo for what he is the Yankees couldn’t.

I'd love to take a flier on Didi. Problem is, where's the room on the roster? Even the 40 man?

.210/.263/.304/.567, 60 OPS+, -0.2 dWAR

that's the guy we want to take a flier on. I know people hate IKF, but c'mon. A 32-year-old Didi is a serious downgrade at the position.

Falefa's fine offensively. The problem is that he can't make a routine throw to first.

I was talking as a utility type player. I'd rather have him come in to pinch hit than Tyler Wade or Hicks.

Tomorrow we can all watch Jordan Montgomery take on the Yankees on Fox. German is going against him. It might be a telling game that we traded the wrong pitcher.
