Congrats to the 2025 inductee's! I actually bought a Wagner auto about 10 days ago (not scanned yet), in anticipation.

Man, going back through this thread is making me want to jumpstart the HOF PC again. Been pretty much out of the hobby the last couple of years due to rising costs and then medical issues with my 6 year old the past year. Knowing that I already have a Billy Wagner signed 8x10 also helps so I'm not chasing as many from this year's class, haha.

Just got it in. A HOFer from the 1910s, Frank Home Run Baker! This brings me to 213, 76% of what I consider "possibles" and 61% overall.

If anyone is interested, the other autos are also pro baseball players, the most famous being Gus Triandos.

Gus Triandos (Orioles) p. 1953-1965, d.2013
Frank Home Run Baker (HOFer)

Congrats on the pickup, how many HOFers do you consider "possible"? Too lazy to run the math.

Thanks! I consider there to be 70 “impossibles”. Most of these are 19th Century players and early Negro Leaguers. They are either exceedingly rare (Jose Mendez), exceedingly expensive (Christy Mathewson), or both (Josh Gibson). It is possible I’ll find some eventually, but I find having a possibles list makes the task more manageable.

If you have time, can you post your “impossibles” list? Would help me know which ones not to even try for.

Note, not all of these are impossible, but the "impossibles" are included below. Essentially, when I worked on this years ago, I looked at the Negro Leaguers, the 19th Century HOFers, the Umpires, and 20th Century HOFers who died before 1950. Some of the "impossibles" can be found, but most of these are either too rare or too expensive for me to make a priority or even an attempt. Hope this helps.
