I'd say 2023 was a slight step up from 2022 but they're both SO bad that I don't think it really matters. the last few years look like the gold stars from the walmart set

and they have not been RED, WHITE AND BLUE since 2018

Right! Those prices are a lot but during his 2019 breakout season, they were in the same range and he's playing at an astounding MVP caliber now. I was just expecting his stuff to really jump just based off of that and his popularity.

I've opened one hobby, one mega, 10 blasters and NO Acunas at all.
I have hit 4 base, 1 refractor, and one /275 Shohei though for some reason.

I've pulled a couple of Titans Acunas, but otherwise he's be almost as shy as Bigfoot as far as base cards/parallels.

I've pulled 2x refractors, 2x base, and 1x /275 purple sonar Ohtani though. And I have like 25 Mookies (almost all refractors) I've compiled for cheap but probably should start looking at unloading some. Lol

I’d be happy if they would just improve the #’d golds. Anything would be better than what it’s become. Heck—they’d have an easy upgrade if they would just combine the numbered gold and the gold foils into one parallel and offered a gold foil bordered/trimmed card but with a non-rainbow effect on the card and use that for their numbered golds. Kinda like the 2015 golds that had the gold foil border. Loved that gold shine in the pack.

Would is crazy to ask for white borders on the base cards (like this year) and full-bleed parallels w/o borders (like 2018)?

Heck, for that matter, just make numbered gold one consistent color, and make it gold. Right now they range from gold into what you can only realistically call brown.

Yeah using the same motif in the gold stars really cheapens the Indy parallels IMO
