SGC seems to be getting back to their sub 15 day TAT.

Anyone use the “immediate “ grading at $40 a card recently? Just curious how the turnaround time compares to the standard 15TAT

I did a couple months ago when they were slammed, still promised the 1-2 day turn around and they delivered on it. It did take them 2 days to get into the system but that was a while ago so i would assume thats also caught up

I just saw this posted on SGC’s web site:

Not a big deal, but worth noting in case you have a pre-saved address when firing off USPS labels for orders. Just a heads up.

I wonder if this was a smaller suite that PSA bought and now they have swapped. PSA taking the bigger already built out SGC location. PSA setup the new location from the start to be a smaller SGC footprint. Would love to see the lay of the land on these two suites.

Every day this gets worse and worse for collectors. I don't even know if SGC really exists right now. The same people grading PSA cards could be grading SGC for all we know.

It would not surprise me in the future to see SGC contact you if your card grades high and you get the option of slabbing it with PSA for a fee of $250 to vault with them. I am not happy with this situation, but I will keep on using them for now.

Just had a small SGC order arrive back how today. All PC vintage football cards.

Here are two stand outs:

I don't care if I'm the last guy using SGC. I have no desire to grade with any other company (aside from a few isolated PSA and PSA/DNA sets I setup long before PSA tanked big time. Mostly Rickey Henderson cards.)

I'll be sure to flip the light off at SGC when I'm officially the last guy using them.

Sending in another 5 card order with them this week. The last grading company without mystery packs, vending machines, and vaulting.

Nice!

I usually send a 5-20 card order to SGC every 2-3 weeks.
Nearly all PC stuff.

I've done 2 orders with SGC and so far, both orders I have received excuses why they won't grade a card and why they slabbed this one upside down. Seems to be a lot of common sense lacking there.

26 card order should arrive today or tomorrow. I assume mine will take longer than most as some are new to their database.

I didn't see it mentioned here, but did anyone notice how they quietly removed the "*" and note on their homepage that stated that "due to increase demand they TEMPORARILY increased their turn-around time"? Making it seem like the 15-20 business days is standard and here to stay (even if they try to get them done sooner).

i contacted sgc asking about the graphic change & customer support said 'SGC is currently operating at a 15-20 estimated business-day turnaround time. This has been implemented since earlier in the year. As of now, due to the current submission rate that our team is receiving, we will continue operating at the 15-20 estimated business day turnaround time as the standard.'

Happy with the current turn-around times on vintage. Let's hope they stay under 20 days

Default Lots Of People Still Using Them!

I was at the Philly show this weekend and the dealer tables were loaded
with SGC graded cards (mostly on the vintage side that I look for).

Yup, because a lot of vintage dealers and customers are disgusted with PSA. Heck, more vintage people are even using CGC to grade their vintage.

$15 per card, less than 1 month turnaround time, and fair grading. PSA is not an option with pricing, turnaround time, and treating cards with the same standards as 2025 Topps.

I agree.

PSA has been sloppy with some of the recent holderings too. Cards are all
over the place in the holders and sometimes they use the wrong size holders
too. The baggie is ugly.

That's because they are cheaper and faster. The downside is you won't get as much value when you sell. No matter how much you dislike PSA, they are the kings of grading. SGC is a distant second.
