Looks like an outlier, but largely due to the other heavy hitters having far fewer BBEs

Acuna: 76/562 = 0.1352

Ohtani: 47/357 = 0.1317
Judge: 38/240 = 0.1583
Stanton: 44/248 = 0.1774

Been pretty removed from the hobby the last few years so maybe little out of touch. But what happened to the bat down? Did that fall out of favor? See PSA 9s going for under $300! What am I missing?

Big shift into chrome cards over paper. Acuna is also about to turn 26, well beyond peak hobby hype age

I've always been kinda skeptical of the 20k estimates on the Bat Down card and thought it was more likely 8-10k. It's been a while since I looked at the pop reports, but the count on the golds of Acuna and Soto used to be like 1/4 that of the Bat Down. Definitely far more than a normal short print, but i'm not sure I see 20k.

20-30k based on several triangulations. They are more common the base cards in several products of 2018

It’s less than the SP rookies the following year, though… those were 3x more

Acuna 2018 Stadium Club autos still seem to sell for way more than the S(S?)P non-auto.

I get that it inherently feels like an autograph version is better, but isn't the non-auto version way scarcer, print-wise?

He and Soto have the same demand x?$ factor depending on auto style.

Plus, stadium club images of all players retired/current can drive up prices. It’s one of the only products now that they eliminated opening day that have decent photos. Meaning, Topps almost actually tries….

Edit: I looked at the stadium club auto and image, it is in fact a great image in a white jersey and dawns his old auto which is desirable amongst collectors.

Hope this helps….thats why this red is here. Color match but the auto is slopped off a bit. Few years ago this is gone probably.
