Very true. panini Football retail can be pretty good from my experience, but good luck finding it. I’m just saying most of the bigger color Auto’s I’ve seen rip out of hobby over retail. But if I intend to rip a hobby box, I’m also very much expecting to lose on the box. Which I won’t unless prices come back to earth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

hobby has the chance of the big hit. you can’t get an auto out of prizm retail football. that said most hobby boxes are bloodbaths. out of 50 blasters you’re gonna make out better than the average hobby box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I left a couple of FB groups because it's just nauseating...zero sports card talk whatsoever it's all "left none for the kids der her her her" flexes of the ungodly amount of retail they cleaned out along with a sale price. I just got sick of it because it was so eye rolling.

I can't imagine standing in line, let alone fighting over sports cards one iota.
I love busting boxes/packs and/or making money as much as anyone, but easy pass for me. It's not like we needed more reasons to look like geeks. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk |

For 19-20 Prizm basketball I saw Walmart and Target have $1500+ of product in a single day. I'd have to go back and find the receipt but I think from 1 Walmart I got around $1500 worth of megas, cellos, and hangers. I left the blasters. If 20-21 Prizm basketball has those type of quantity drops and is selling for 8-10 times cost out the gate you can't see standing in lines for potentially thousands of dollars of profit? Just 3 per sku at Target if you can get 3 megas, 3 blasters, and 3 packs that's over $2,000 profit. That's more than I would take home from a 2 week pay check. If you only have a few guys standing at a Walmart with $1,500-$2,000 of product for potentially $15,000 in profit sitting there you can't see people fighting over that? People have murdered for a fraction of that.

I am so excited for Prizm to drop. Not because I expect to get any but I can't wait to see the lines and fights over it.

8 am Friday makes getting cards impossible for me with a full time job and young children. Thanks Target!

This bubble will burst and people like that will go back to filling our pot holes.

You don’t need to go to stores to buy product. I’ve bought over a dozen hangers and blasters all online at MSRP since release day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Don’t know if someone mentioned this yet but could also be squishmallows. Some are pretty big and can take up a bunch of shelf space but rarely last a few minutes with moms and resellers and teenage girls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

unfortunately the policy is designed to minimize the number of people camping out in the store all week, not make sure everyone that wants cards gets them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

F Target I am going to war with them.
One guy I know laid out a "get a cart full of ice cream and drive it to the far corner of the store no one goes to then leave" Got a chuckle out of that. |

I think that was likely part of it. Always interesting to see what people go crazy for. Every once in a while I know they do designer/Target crossovers that seem to cause a rush. The worst behavior I've seen is in the toy collectors though. Someone here bought a ton of Rogue One Star Wars toys on clearance and now buys the new toys, takes out the new figure, and replaces it with the clearance figure. I see this all over town.

Who are the people paying this 8-10x profit? From what I understand, panini prints the crap out of all their stuff. I could be wrong, but none of this stuff seems particularly rare.
I guess the same thing is happening with the sneaker set. |
